They have an 'ITS LIVE' performance as well where all vocals are very live and they even perform with a live band, I think that may be a live version you guys could appreciate as well. Thank you for reacting to dreamcatcher! Eager for your next videos :)
^^ THIS ^^ is a must see. They cut a lot of elements out of the mix for this performance for the sake of the whole 'ultra live', 'spatial sound' concept. It's a cool concept, but you miss a lot of the impact of the song here. Those elements are included in the 'It's LIVE performance".
@@vidharmee If you live in the US they are touring in November. If not, well, maybe next year. They usually alternate between the US and Europe each year.
8:43 The fact Siyeon can get anywhere near that G5 run while moving like THAT with barely a wobble is impressive as hell to me. Dreamcatcher *can* dance and sing in one take like that, they've been balancing the body movement of choreo while pushing out vocals for seven years. A thing I dislike about the kpop industry in general is "live" means singing into a mic right now rather than lip syncing to a backtrack. Post work on levels, gates, even light autotune are allowed in performances called live. It comes from the industry obsession that idols must be viewed as perfect at all times, idolized. Dreamcatcher earns my respect from the years of fancams and surprise singing on vlives etc., with none of those editing tricks, where they sound like imperfect humans and still fantastic then too.
I went to their concerts twice, and this sounds pretty much like their concert. Even when you're at the concert, you hear all kind of stuff, laughing giggling, mic taps etc and yet it sounds like a CD. This is one on the things that really made me love dreamcatcher so so much, they're amazing live. They're one of the few groups left in KPOP who can sing live their songs without you feeling a tinge of disappointment. When you hear a studio version you just KNOW they can do that same thing live.
Oh they sing live but this isnt a single take. These dancear things are usually filmed in multiple takes and they do some pitch correction after because lord forbid kpop allow idols human error. "Its live" is usually done in a single take but even there they use some pitch correction. That being said, dc do in fact sing live. There are live performances where one of girls accidentally smacks their mic and its loud, another where Siyeon and Gahyeon sing the wrong line, there is a video of them where Siyeon fell over and Yoohyeon giggled into the mic while singing and another where Siyeon sang into the lightstick instead of the mic and you couldnt hear her in that moment. Sometimes the sound engineers at concerts turn up the backtrack too high and Siyeon extends her notes past the backtrack just to prove a point and Dami sings louder and more aggressively to drown out the backtrack. I think the only time Siyeon's backtrack has been louder was during one concert this year when she was really sick and nearly fell over from exhaustion mid performance. Anyway DC's live performance of propose on a radio show. ua-cam.com/video/RQDZdUDY0D0/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
Dreamcatcher always sing live even when there's a backtrack, you would know that if you even watch any of their live concert. They have many videos with live bands with or without choreography. If you really want to see them live with a live band then watch their it's live video for this song or other ones.
Dreamcatcher are one of the few Kpop groups that sing can (and do) live consistently. There are heaps of clips of them performing when you can hear little mistakes (forgetting lyrics, laughing, not singing into the mic properly etc). Their concerts are usually in smaller venues and I know people say that they can really hear them sing. They just have absolutely amazing stamina to be able to sing with such stability while they are dancing. Siyeon especially is an absolute beast. She’s one of the most powerful vocalists in the industry.
They are very taletend vocalists, but underrated for kpop industry because it's not a tipical group. They have some producers shared with Ateez and you can see it by the high energy levels. I love Dreamcatcher pretty much! They are also very sweet and funny
I really think this is live, maybe it has something in post, but as someone who went to their concert, they are better live than in the recordings. Idk how but they perform as close to perfection as possible.
Thanks for checking out Dreamcatcher's dancEAR performance. If you compare it against the studio recording, you'll be able to tell. The vocals on this performance were very raw even compared to other groups who have participated on other danceEAR performances. I'm pretty sure it's multiple takes but I wouldn't be surprised if it's not, they perform like this during concerts all the time.
Glad you guys visited Dreamcatcher again, love this version so much. if you want to revisit this song, id recommend watching the MV and possibly the showcase version on Dreamcatcher's channel (which is also live, but less polished)
I love that you can also see differences between how long they hold the note in the It's Live performance (they are just standing and vibing) and music shows (where they are dancing, so they just hold it like 60%-70% of the time and then you can hear the backtrack). Also, I think the later performances are a tiny bit shorter, I assume because their voices became more "tired" the more times they performed in these two weeks.
this is a 1theK content. the exec producer and his team does multiple live contents within 1theK. camera work was definitely multiple takes but think editing on the vocal tracks were minimal. u can notice on alot of these so called live contents, DC voices are different from their recordings while i won't talk about other groups. it's just sad that the music industry both east and west has become like this where nothing can be taken for granted lol. anyway, u can't deny DC is a something special
It is definitely shot in multiple shots you can notice cause there's subtle changes in the positioning of their hands when it "changes" the shot, the most noticeable would be, Yoobyeon's hair in the bridge. She has her hair over her right shoulder in the close up I think, and once the shot opens to show the choreo change her hair is magically behind her shoulder before she moves enough for it to move on its own. However I would say that even though there's a bit of polishing the vocals are live. In the sense that, they make them sing live at every take and I think that they select the best rendition of it or what they consider it to be the best rendition of it. Plus. I think with the stomping, they probably had ambient mics, like the ones you use sometimes in classical concerts which pick up every sound around them...sort of. And same as the vocals, they chose one and used it. So it is a love performance... it's just a selective live performance, I think mostly because they had to make sure the video and choreo were the most "perfect" they could make it, and once they had the video portion they just selected the audio performance they thought was best...at least that's what I think. I don't know anything about the technical aspects of both video and audio...but at least that's what my logic is telling me...or maybe is what I want to believe 😅
I saw this video because of Dreamcatcher. The 3rd chorus of Dreamcatcher's "Justice" is a pure burst of vocal violence. It's fantastic and probably inimitable. The situation is similar with the incredible fan songs “Reason” (official MV & “Live in France” MCountdown) and “Shatter” (official MV). And - I think Dreamcatcheer sings live here.
" she is the idol , no idol can become ", " she is the Legend , that no Legend can Be " , Her Symbol " Dreamcatcher " has Become her Name , she has become a Eternal Legend , " She is and they are the Eternal Legendary Dreamcatcher ".
Thanks for the reaction. Kpop is sadly hyper focused on perfection so they always always mix and correct everything live. You can hear they can sing very very well in fancams which are not edited however theres always imoerfevtions here and there that here are not present. Do i think they did this presentation live? Yeah, totally, but I'm pretty sure the mic feed didnt sound quite that polished lol. I'm impressed by what they presented here since it's very nicely done and it presents a vocal focused version of the song but i do miss the raw essence of actual live stuff. Especially since they have such a rock leaning.
They can sing live pretty well. One of the members SuA recently did a duet cover of Sia's Titanium. The live vocal has been flexed. ua-cam.com/video/waIoo19aKnc/v-deo.html

Dreamcatcher Justice live with live band in "ITS LIVE"
Raw live vocals, foot stomping, sounds of those flares...chef's kiss.🤘🐺🤘

You should still do the MV, since this one is focused on the live vocals and dance sounds, the instrumentation is dampened by comparison.
Amo esse grupo Dreamcatcher. 😍😍
Ele tem algumas das músicas mais incríveis que já ouvi até hoje. 🤩🤩
E olha que sou um fã antigo de JPop e KPop.
