Bro, I have 3 questions 1. If I withdraw some portion of money from a mutual fund, then it comes under the invested amount or capital gain? 2. If I'm not a salaried person and I'm not paying any tax.. so that if I invest in debt or international index funds, on what basis will my tax rate be calculated? 3. Whether the tax on capital gain is calculated for every financial year?
1. If u withdraw some amount from MF means, u r selling some units of mutual fund. If u bought those units at low price and at the time of withdrawal the unit price is higher, then Capital Gain will occur. 2. Even if u r not a salaried person, since u r an individual, u have to pay tax @ slab rate. Whatever gain u have earned from Debt fund, u need to pay the tax at slab. 3. Capital Gain tax is calculated only in the year in which Capital Gain occurs. If u didn't sell any Capital asset in this financial year, no taxable capital gain will be computed.
Hi, Can you add on latest tax details for STCG,LTCG & tax on dividend for NRI demat account. Hope you have been operating NRI account since quite some time and response to this query will help to the new comers like me
Hi Boosan, wonderful video with clear explanation can you please put a video for LTCG from selling ancestral property, like when we should pay tax (same year, next year ect), is there way to reduce that tax, how to calculate indication, should we need auditors help to file this tax , what if i bought new house with the money ect, also will that LTCG will be clubbed with the shares/MF selling on the same fin year???
Super bro well explained, my doubt is either short term or long term , if the profit is withdrawn then only tax applied , if the profits keep re invested, only at the time we withdraw then only tax applied on income. Am I right,
Please post a video on NRI taxation on mutual funds. Also, TDS on NRI mutual funds. I have been debited TDS for my PPFAS Flexi Cap Growth MF. This is a growth reinvestment option, not a dividend. I didn't redeem, but it says it's TDS. So it's confusing. Please post videos on NRI taxation on MF investments. Thabk you.
I have a doubt, I invested in various corporate bonds and i receive interest every month after they deduct 10% tax from interest amount , now while filing tax if i add interest i received , if am in 20% tax slab . do i have to pay 20% tax on those, in that case will it be 30%tax on interest i received from bonds?
Index fund long term ku hold panna nalla returns nu sodringa say 10 yrs ku 12 percent nalla return nu veachom na capital gains tax 10 percent na what is the point?
The 10% tax applies exclusively to gains exceeding 1 lakh ₹. This rate is notably the most favorable compared to other investment categories: - Gold, fixed deposits (FD), real estate capital gains, and bonds are all taxed according to the individual's tax slab rate. For someone in the 30% tax slab, a 10% tax on gains with a 1 lakh ₹ exemption offers a more advantageous financial position.

At this point it has to be self-declared in IT, however Income tax officials will have direct access to information related to capital gains from the sale of mutual funds, dividends received on shares and interest earned by investors on bank and post office savings/deposits starting from the current financial year. Non-declaration of such income can get you into trouble as taxmen will have complete access to any capital gains you have made.
Thanks, In Nifty50 index fund through SIP planned for 20years.. At maturity time how much the taxation will be there bro? (Example: 10k per month through SIP for 20years)
🔊🔊🔊 can any one tell me if we buy and sell stocks then the profit amount will added with income tax slab or tax to be paid only 15% and not covered income slab?
If I have nifty 50 index fund and hold 10 year and plan to withdrawal then how much tax they deduct .if they deduct 10 percent then overall profit is less right and obviously return also reduced. Pls provide the clarification.
Bro can u please explain Please long term capital gain while Investing in SIP for 20 years/per month Rs. 10000 for ROR 12% with expense ratio 1.5% if my income slab falls under 30% taxation. How much will tax + expenses to AMC need to pay while closing my SIP at 20th year.
Great Video Bro. I Have a doubt. When I sell MF, will they deduct the tax automatically and credit the rest of money to my bank account? Pls explain how the tax process happens.
Holding NiftyBees for long term will help you take advantage of LTCG, however for GOLDBEES with recent change in tax structure there is no separation between LTCG or STCG.

wonderful effort, god bless you. I have one query from this, ETF, gold ETF & gold BESS from Indian stock market too with same tax slab as with Debt fund? your response in this regard will be much appreciated.
Only question: If I sell all my index mutual funds, I will get say 3L as profit. As you said, Taxation will be done on 2L and if it is LTCG ill need to pay 20K which is ok. My question is - Will 10% taxation like this be enough or will this 3L be added to my income and then taxed at my tax slab?
Wonderful information 👍. One Question☝, As you mentioned 1Lakh exemption is for profit in LTCG, so is it for profit and its include dividend also? Because someone told me 1Lakh exemption is only for dividend not for LTCG profit. can you please confirm it?
