- Wow Lionel did a fantastic job with the GS locomotives. The sounds and detail on theses engines are really nice. Note the gs1 number boards near the smokebox are covered up by electrical tape temporarily just for looks since the number board lights don't turn off. Were thinking of making custom number boards for those front number boards However were still playing around with different ideas at the moment and I'll put out a final result video on that when it is finished.
Amazing. Vision line never fails to impress. The smoke effects in the beginning are unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Model railroad looks great too. Thanks for sharing

The GS-1 is amazing! The smoke out in the beginning was epic! Never heard a whistle that good on a model train lol
Lionel offers 5 different whistles on steam locomotives now!
The big boy 4014 and nickle plate road 765 have the 2 best sounding whistles from Lionel

Nice demo video of these locos. Especially the GS 1, which has a good view of the cylinder cock steam in action.
IMO, this effect was well executed by Lionel and is one of Lionels better efforts in recent years for VL effects.
Clever fix to subdue number boards as well.

Fantastic Engines! I have never seen a GS Locomotive with out the casing! The sounds and smoke are also the best parts!

OUND, LOOK AND STEAM effects all Super!!! does any one know who - or what dealer might have the Black GS 4 ( w black tender) that has the SILVER PILOT like we see here for this Vision Line GS 4 SP number 4457 ? or are there other cab numbers like this that have the Silver Pilot on the Black GS 4 w Black Tender ( I think I saw one that had the Dayligtht Colored Tender- w Black Pilot- but that would not be as much to my liking)

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t remember radios in Steam Locomotives back in the day?!
The only thing I could find even close to radio communication in the steam era is something called a TrainPhone that the PRR came up with using electromagnetic induction.

Not trying to sound like a nerd but that was a gs-8, still pretty good video and even better o scale models!
I'm not exactly sure about it being a GS-8 but I figured it would be one given the locomotive road number being 4471
