@@AbtInsuranceAgency Thanks Stephanie went on medicare in December of last year. Enrolled in Advantage, and thanks to you I am switching to traditional medigap before my trial time expires . ❤
Again, thanks for the info. Statistically, do people select Medicare Advantage more than Medicare + Medigap? Based on your info, I am leaning toward Medicare + Medigap. Thanks.
Jacob, I singed up for Medicare Advantage about 6 years ago. 4 years ago I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. The advantage plan covered my radiation treatment and I am doing well. HOWEVER, if I had to do it all over again I would have gone with Medigap from the start. A lot of people don't know this, but if you choose Advantage it is VERY DIFFICULT to get Medigap later on. Get the best Medigap plan you can afford.
I am really glad you are doing well, Bill. May I ask why you recommend Medigap over Medicare Advantage? Is it because Medicare Advantage didn’t cover some of your treatments?
@@jacobkowski7705 They covered everything. I'm just concerned that if I have future problems my choices might be limited and/or I might have significant out of pocket expenses. Also there was a study done (I think by Mayo Clinic) that showed that cancer outcomes on Medigap are generally better than those on Advantage.
This depends on her area, and her Part B effective date. If she is in an area that offers Medigap under age 65 and she is within 6 months from her Part B effective date, then yes she can qualify for Medigap.
What are the cost breakdowns for “standard” 6-week outpatient cancer treatments between 1) original A & B only, 2) MedSupp Plan G or N, and 3) say, zero-premium replacement (Plan C) plans? Could you give us examples of aggregate costs between these three paths for those of us who are concerned with our potential out-of-pocket expenses?
The comparison between the 3 would depend on the type of Medicare Advantage Plan you choose. We would be happy to review your options in more depth - feel free to call us at 888-465-9728!
Hi Stephane, Does Medigap part F have a different price with different insurance carriers? If we change carriers can we still keep our current plan F? Thank you! Very informative videos!
Yes, pricing for Palm F can vary from one company to another. As long as you can pass through medical underwriting, you can change your Plan F to a different insurance company while still keeping the same Plan letter coverage.
So if you have a Medicare advantage plan, you need additional cancer insurance that pays a lump sum?
As always valuable information presented in a way that is easy to understand. Thanks
Bill, glad you found it useful!
Very good information Stephanie!!!
Thank you for this video. It really helped me steer clear of advantage plans.
Thank you for watching!

With cancer you BETTER have Plan F or G. Advantage will cost tens of thousands of dollars per year.
