I still use the "I/We must be in the front Rowww" phrase in 2021 and I'm 53 years old so it goes to show how much those commercials had an influence on me.
I do the same dang thing. Whenever I find a gem of a parking space in the front, I ALWAYS say out loud, "I must be in the front row". The young millennials seem to always have a puzzled look about them.
Me too I just used that phrase this weekend. In the group I belong to I got to sit at the front table and I said "I must be in the front Rowww" I am 56!
Mine was Rodney hawking this same product... when he was bowling and his teammate told him, We only need one pin to win Rodney! And Rodney's ball was right down the middle... and bounced off the middle pin and got nothing. But this one is a close second!
I miss these kinds of commercials for Lite Beer. Wonder why they stopped doing em. They were funny as hell. And who out there, don't laugh when the Ueck comes on? Love this!!!
"Must be in the front rooooowwwww..." "He missed the tag...he missed the tag." I still say this when I sit in the Uecker seats.. One of the most classic and best commercials ever!
My dad used to love these Lite commercials with Uecker. When I was turned away from the Star Alliance lounge in Los Angeles because I didn't know that the CEOs of Air New Zealand and Virgin Australia were embroiled in a pissing match, I was left thinking to myself "I must be in the front rooooowwwww..." as I had to endure the full cattle class experience.
My wife and I used this line all the time when we went to baseball games. Always had nosebleed seats and on the way up to our seats we blurt out the line, we must be in the front row!
When I sit up in the really high or cheap seat at sporting event or somewhere else. I always said felt like Bob Uecker sitting in these really high seat. . I should be in the front row too. Thank you Bob!
I'VE BEEN SAYING THIS FOR YEARS, I'M 66 YEARS YOUNG, I'M CURRENTLY WATCHING THE BOB UECKER SPECIAL ON FOX1 AT 958PM/2158 OCTOBER 16 2024 , I MUST BE IN THE FRONT ROW, I WAS AT THE DODGER VS PADRES GAME 5 ON OCT 11, LORDS WILL I'LL BE AT DODGERS VS METS GAME 6 IF NECESSARY HERE AT DODGER STADIUM ,GOD BLESS
As a little kid I thought he was shouting, “Hey, Mr. Tag!” like there was a guy named Mr. Tag. 😄 Apparently I used to shout that around the house frequently.
Haha... Every time I get the close parking spot, or the front row of seats anywhere, I always say to myself "I must be down in the front rowwww" even so many years later! Too funny :-)
Seen this commercial 500 times easy. Remember it well when it came out. But I just noticed for the 1st time, is that a pre-Seinfld Wayne Knight saying that Uecker is sitting in his seat?
bza069 u do know that euchs is the every day announcer 4 the Milwaukee Brewers? On WTMJ? Euchs would not no part of a world series broadcast, unless the brewers were a part of it.
Sam Simpson is the usher in this commercial. He’s better known as the scout who had a slam bang young pitching prospect named Roy Hobbs who he was taking to Chicago.
Friend: Let's go to the game! Me: O.K., where are we sitting? Friend: Row 85, 34 Me: You mean where sitting in the Uecker Section? Friend: Uecker Section, What does that mean? Me: I know have one less friend!
At Maryland Football games during the early part of season most fans don’t sit in their assigned seats, especially in the upper level, the rule of thumb is, you can sit there unless they have the physical ticket. Most of the stadium is doing the Bob Eucker move.
DOWN IN FRONT! is my favorite line. His true seats were not quite in the front rowww after all. Brilliant commercial by one of the funniest men who ever lived.
My favorite Bob Uecker commercial by far was the one were he is sitting in his car messing around with the sunroof to advertise the roof opening and closing at Miller Park when the stadium was about to open in 2001. it's too bad I can't find that one on youtube anywhere.
Only Uecker could pull off one the most famous commercial lines of all time....with humor and self-deprecating ego. "I must be in the front row!"....He missed the tag!
tonight the Braves take on the Brewers in Milwaukee, PS Bob played for both teams! Thursday 7/5/2018. PS today marks exactly five years since the last time I was in Milwaukee, I'll be there again today. Good job Cubs, you beat the Tigers. Go Brewers, beat the Braves! I'll be in Milwaukee by way of Greyhound. Game is tonight @ Miller Park, too bad I'll be going back to Chicago when the game starts, oh well, I probably wouldn't get to meet him in person anyway, I can't even meet Steve Dahl here in Chicago. Security is tight, they protect personalities.
Flashback Friday! Mr. Baseball, Bob Uecker in a classic Miller Lite commercial! My first national commercial! Directed by Bob Giraldi ( Hello, Billie Jean, Beat it, etc.). A dream come true for a young actor starting out in the business! God is good!!! Flashback Friday!!!
One of the funniest radio ads I ever heard was Johnny Bench (I think) coming on the Bob Eucker show, thanking Euker sarcastically for the bus ticket, then Euker uses up the whole time playing his show's new song: Bob Eucker, Euker's the name, should be in the Hall of Fame. The guys all love him (female voices "don't forget us gals") buy him a LITE, and he'll be your pal! Euker! Euker! Euker! it's the Bob Euker Showww!
Yep yep. I just used it the other night when we were actually in the front row at a Spokane Indians game.
BTW- I am 54.
Me too I just used that phrase this weekend. In the group I belong to I got to sit at the front table and I said "I must be in the front Rowww" I am 56!
I’m 22 and this commercial is hilarious! I’ve been saying this to my friends and they don’t know what I’m referencing!
YES AM 53 ALSO U SO RIGHT LOL
I always wondered why my father says, "i must be in the front rowwwwww" just like Bob Uecker says it here. haha how funny!! Love you Dad
..lol..
😆
I've never caught the reference on 37 years until seeing a meme 5 mins ago.
I’m glad your Dad said it. I say it and nobody gets it. Ha.
I say it all the time, no one seems to know it anymore. Yay @your dad!
I’m 60 and I always use the “front rowww” when I get a good parking spot. And I say “good seats buddy” to my grandchildren when we go to anything.
Still my all time favorite Miller Lite commercial. Uecker is a comical GENIUS!!!
Uecker deserves to be in the mlb hall of fame just for these commercials.
He is in the HoF...
He's in the HOF as a broadcaster
“He missed the tag! He missed the tag!”
Haven't seen this in 30 years. Didn't realize that "Call the Front Office and Bingooooo!" is just as bloody funny as the immortal "front row" line.
Yes it is! And “Ha, ha! I love ‘em!” is pretty good, too.
I am blessed to have grown up in that era.
Such a classic that "must be in the front roooooow" has entered our everyday discourse.
The single greatest tv commercial of all time
I don’t know. When Uker and Johnny Bench did that Krylon commercial, that was pretty good as well.
Mine was Rodney hawking this same product... when he was bowling and his teammate told him, We only need one pin to win Rodney! And Rodney's ball was right down the middle... and bounced off the middle pin and got nothing. But this one is a close second!
And that is how the Uecker seats were born!
Uecker seats and the nosebleeds are synonymous.
I miss these kinds of commercials for Lite Beer. Wonder why they stopped doing em. They were funny as hell. And who out there, don't laugh when the Ueck comes on? Love this!!!
defiantone After Bubba Smith passes, I UA-camd many of these commercial for my kids. Everyone of them were awesome.
Two things you laugh at the most, Any commercial with Bob Uecker and any Looney Tunes cartoon.
They were great. Like Boog Powell and the ump with lousy eyesight.
Now we get beertransition ads
@@koryclarke1991 : Tom & Jerry were pretty good as well.
My dad says this every time we park in a front row somewhere. Now I know where it's from!
My Dad does it too! :D
I still use that front row line all these yrs later. I got a kick out of that as a kid
Me & my uncle always say this to each other when we see one another.
"Must be in the front rooooowwwww..."
"He missed the tag...he missed the tag."
I still say this when I sit in the Uecker seats..
One of the most classic and best commercials ever!
My dad used to love these Lite commercials with Uecker. 😆
Gator Mark “Good seats eh buddy!” Says Uecker from the nosebleed section. 😂😂😂
I miss the eighties so much.
Back when commercials were something that we looked forward to, and not the painful distractions that they are today.
has there ever, I mean EVER been a better commercial than this
"He missed the tag! He missed the tag!" Classic.
I remember this like it was yesterday. I still quote parts of it today. LOL. Best TV commercial ever made. Thanks for posting it.
One of my father in law’s favorite commercials. RIP Tom
Drank Miller Lite back in the 80's when I was in my twenties and still drink it now in my sixties. Mr Baseball would be proud of me. 😎⚾️

Those commercials were hilarious 🤣🤣”We only need one pin, Rodney!” always gave me a good laugh
As a little kid I thought he was shouting, “Hey, Mr. Tag!” like there was a guy named Mr. Tag. 😄 Apparently I used to shout that around the house frequently.
You're not alone.
Oh gosh, I remember this one quite well! A true TV classic! 😁
If you want to laugh hysterically, read his book "Catcher in the Wry". A classic.
aerosol106 I got a detention for bringing that version to class in 1984😃
@@Celticfc60523 My Mom bought me that book when I was in high school. I got kicked out of study hall for laughing.
Read it in high school. It’s great
Love this commercial. No matter where he is sitting, Bob is always having a good time.
"I must be in the front rowwww." Bloody marvelous!
Haha... Every time I get the close parking spot, or the front row of seats anywhere, I always say to myself "I must be down in the front rowwww" even so many years later! Too funny :-)
Classic line that we all remember!!!
Seen this commercial 500 times easy. Remember it well when it came out.
But I just noticed for the 1st time, is that a pre-Seinfld Wayne Knight saying that Uecker is sitting in his seat?
Check out Uecker's HOF speech and all the legends sitting behind him cracking up!!
Yeah, I like the part where he said he received bats with handles on both ends.
ua-cam.com/video/h7dG5HCKeWA/v-deo.html
Me and a buddy of mine still yell "down in front!!" when we see each other at basketball games
I never forgot this commercial. Love it.
best spokesman my favorite play by play man and actor In mr belvardre and major league movies
I am watching Major League right now - sooo awesome! I love him in this movie and it led me to this video hehe I love the good parts of the internet!
bza069 u do know that euchs is the every day announcer 4 the Milwaukee Brewers? On WTMJ? Euchs would not no part of a world series broadcast, unless the brewers were a part of it.
Sam Simpson is the usher in this commercial. He’s better known as the scout who had a slam bang young pitching prospect named Roy Hobbs who he was taking to Chicago.
Best Miller Lite Commercial hands down
I want that big ass cup of beer, 🍺🍺
Classic …
One of The Best Sport Commercials Ever !!
I remember this commercial first came out,I was just a kid! 😆
ANY time my dad parked the car when I was a kid he’d always say “Bob Uecker parking. Front row!”
This is the best of em all.
Loved this commercial!
Call the front office, and Bingooooo
This one and The Case Of The Missing Case are the two best Lite Beer commercials of all time.
Friend: Let's go to the game!
Me: O.K., where are we sitting?
Friend: Row 85, 34
Me: You mean where sitting in the Uecker Section?
Friend: Uecker Section, What does that mean?
Me: I know have one less friend!
😄Aahh. C'mon and educate 'em.
I use “ I must be in the front row” to this day😂 what a classic!
I always think of Bob Uecker everytime I'm in the high up seats. I say to myself "Bob Uecker paid for my seat!"
At Maryland Football games during the early part of season most fans don’t sit in their assigned seats, especially in the upper level, the rule of thumb is, you can sit there unless they have the physical ticket. Most of the stadium is doing the Bob Eucker move.
From the nosebleed section...”Good seats ‘eh buddy!” 😂😂😂
If they'd turn this stadium around I'd be in the front rowww 😅
DOWN IN FRONT! is my favorite line.
His true seats were not quite in the front rowww after all. Brilliant commercial by one of the funniest men who ever lived.
"He missed the tag!" was comedy gold 😅
I yelled he missed the tag while sitting in the top row of Seattle kingdome. Lotta people turned around laughing
Greatest Miller Lite beer commercial ever
Happy birthday, Bob Uecker! With Betty White and Sidney Poitier gone, you get my vote as our reigning universally beloved elder statesperson
Lol I'm 58 and still say this. I said it tonight when we had front row seats at the Sugar Land Space Cowboys game.
BEST COMMERCIAL EVER!
my pop has always said this phrase, and i’m 21 just now looking up its origin
Miller Lite commercials from the 80s were the best.
Bob's appearances Johny Carson are hilarious.
His Hall of fame induction was great!
My favorite Bob Uecker commercial by far was the one were he is sitting in his car messing around with the sunroof to advertise the roof opening and closing at Miller Park when the stadium was about to open in 2001. it's too bad I can't find that one on youtube anywhere.
Bob hit a home run off Sandy Koufax! 24 July 1965 at Dodger Stadium.
Bob Uecker!
He says he hit two homers off Koufax.
Colin Robinson sent me here
"I must be in the front rowww"
My Dad quotes this all the time
Watching the Atlanta Braves just now and the broadcasters made a reference to Uke and this great TV commercial.
Us guys appreciate who IS in the front row at many Brewer home games.
Haha classic. I remember this commercial as a kid
My nephew asked me why shitty seats are called Uecker seats or the Uecker section. I showed him this.
Bingo, I must be in the front row. Classic 😂😂
From a lifelong Dodgers fan: "Juuuuuuuuust a bit outside!"
Happy 90th birthday, Bob Uecker!
Down in front!!! (haha) LOL!!! I love that part
I do too. It was a blast wasn't it.
Only Uecker could pull off one the most famous commercial lines of all time....with humor and self-deprecating ego. "I must be in the front row!"....He missed the tag!
Happy Birthday Bob
Yup, whenever a good parking spot comes up at the shopping center, it is the standard line I use!
“ all we need is one pin Rodney!” Is the other best Miller Light commercial.
tonight the Braves take on the Brewers in Milwaukee, PS Bob played for both teams! Thursday 7/5/2018. PS today marks exactly five years since the last time I was in Milwaukee, I'll be there again today. Good job Cubs, you beat the Tigers. Go Brewers, beat the Braves! So cool
Watch his Hall of Fame speech
One of the best ever
After this commercial came out, I would go around saying "Front Rowwwww" for quite some time....
Funny! Thanks Bev.
I may be a Twins fan, but this is funny as hell
+Johnny Roberts I'm an Orioles fan funny as hell when I was growing up
And the Detroit Tigers for me!!! :)
What does being a Twins fan have to do with this commercial?
I don't know, Jesse Ventura would concur with you Johnny Roberts
toscodav Cause Uecker calls Brewers games and Brewers fans know him
His statue in that seat is still their today😂❤
Love it.
One of the funniest radio ads I ever heard was Johnny Bench (I think) coming on the Bob Eucker show, thanking Euker sarcastically for the bus ticket, then Euker uses up the whole time playing his show's new song:
Bob Eucker, Euker's the name, should be in the Hall of Fame. The guys all love him (female voices "don't forget us gals") buy him a LITE, and he'll be your pal! Euker! Euker! Euker! it's the Bob Euker Showww!
"I love 'em."
Bob Uecker- the Rodney Dangerfield of baseball.
must be in the front roooowwwww
What really bothers me is I remember this commerical when it first aired. Great commerical
Yep...
Who's in the front row in 2024?
Beyond Classic
If they turned this stadium around, i'd be in the front rowww!😅
Isn't there another version where he's behind a pole at Tiger Stadium??
Yes
That may also be the one where he says "if they turned this stadium around I'd be in the front rowww
The Greatest Line of all time
"Turn this stadium around, I'll be in the front row!"
Uecker apparently didn’t bother to check his tickets to see where his assigned seat actually was
From the lower section to the nosebleed section!
And once these fans recognize me, I probably won't even have to pay for my Lite Beer from Miller.
Down in front!!
Hah. I love 'em.
