  • It's cold and dark and horrible and a microwavable heat pack can be quite nice and snuggly. They're also very convenient for achey muscles and, the reason I use them the most, period pains.
    If you want more of an over view of how I made it, then check out my video.

    OMG!!! I do ballet but thanks to covid I had a 3 month 2 1/2 month break. I went from no dancing or stretching to 5 hours in 4 days! I was so sore it hurt to walk. I've made 3 of these to put around my legs and they do wonders! 10/10 love it and thank you so much! 💖💖💖

    Very nice! Mine turned out well and made a nice gift for an older friend.
    I used a funnel to fill in the rice, poking it occasionally with a chop stick so it would flow better. Went really fast.

      Flax seed is the best to use for this. See AnOregonCottage you tube channel

    Please tell me which cloth should we use for this.Can we use any cloth, is it safe for microwave. Thanks

    • @superflorence3000
      @superflorence3000  2 роки тому +1

      Hi, I used cotton. I would stay away from synthetic fabric as it might melt.

    • @galeweaver790
      @galeweaver790 Рік тому

      Duck cloth is best. It's a heavy 100 % cotton fabric. I use it for the outside. For the interior I use a heavy muslim. If you use an inside and an outside fabric, you can remove the outside fabric and wash it. I close the outside fabric with ribbon. Use flax seed, not rice. Flax seed is more expensive than rise or beans, holds heat better.

    How long does it stay hot for

    • @superflorence3000
      @superflorence3000  3 роки тому +1

      Not as long as a hot water bottle. I'd say 20-30mins but it does cool off a lot.

    Do you directly put it in the microwave? I’m scared what if it caught a fire

    • @superflorence3000
      @superflorence3000  4 роки тому +1

      Yes. Straight in. For about 1min 30 secs to 2mins. No fires so far!

      Put a small bowl with a little water in the microwave with ur rice filled bag. Start with 35 or 45 seconds and check to see how much more time u need.

    I thought wheat 🌾 was inside heat pack 🤔
    So is rice just as good as wheat at holding the heat?
    Thanks for the tutorial - I’m going to make one 😊

    You know using a funnel to get the rice in the tiny openings would work better.

    • @myfairytalelife3

      @@cam-yt1wy I must've missed that part, but an easy solution when you have no actual funnel is to cut a plastic bottle that has a small opening [like a soft drink bottle] in half. Using paper rolled up to be one smaller hole on one side and a bigger one up top is another option, as well as a zip lock bag, or a piping bag, or really just any bag with a flat side can be turned into a funnel.

    How many times can you reuse this? I have a teddy bear that goes in the microwave but only a little bit of her tummy gets hot! I wanted to fill her arms and legs with rice but I really don’t want to ruin her or worse, set her on fire!xx

    If you fill this with pinto beans they stay hot longer, and they don't smell bad.
