Just press Function in Track mode and it will indicates what BAR you are. Press Function + Clear and it tells you the last BAR in your Track. You can even start anywhere in the Track by pressing Function and the Selector key (up to 250).
@@303Guy yeahhh! thanks from me 2!! I was always allready in love with tb-303... (thinking I allready knew everyting about it) but i never owned one... Now time (2023), I have a real TD-3... and to be honest.... way more dificult program- flow that i would imagine :S, but because of your YTvids easy like tie shoelaces for me now! ;P
Thanks for the video. The manual covers all this in just a couple of brief sentences that seem to miss out a couple of important keypresses. Very helpful!

Thanks a lot ! I never took time to understand how track mode works and damn ; it's pretty powerfull ! I am currently working with my td-3 and it opens so many possibilities !
@@303Guy dude im watching it again 2 years later lol :) 99.9% of td-3 have never used this feature, prove me wrong :) the pitch change record thanks so much for that! really gonna open that unit up!
One of my TD-3s doesn't always program right when I have it controlled by a RD-6. Today I was trying to make a pattern with only two notes, on the 1 and on the 8; the 8 being a higher octave and accented... only nothing added to the 8 after all those rests would work even though I programmed it multiple times and checked to see the modifications were there many times over. Maybe I need to do a factory reset?
I'm trying to chain patters together into tracks, but I can't figure out how many patterns is the maximum 1 track can hold. It seems to go above 64 patterns, like maybe 68, and then starts doing a specific string of tones to demonstrate that it's hit it's limit I guess. Do you know actually how many patterns you can get into one track?
64 measures per song x 7 songs = 256 measures total each song can access up to16 patterns to write that track you can link 'tracks' to create longer than 64 measure songs.
Nice one! I learned with this video for sure! Another question, I thought that the DEL and INS functions had use with this write mode, What the purposse of that buttons ? I tried but I have no doc about them. Thanks!
Hey in case of BPM clear no, halftime yes by doing the patterns so, double time only if master is double time and you do everything in 1/2 to be in equal to 1/4 again, then you have the headroom for double time, triplets nes because unreliable to program but possible, polymetrics yes e.g. 12/16 and 16/16 etc., but best is, if you buy a Doepfer A-160-2 Clock Divider II (needs an input from a master clock, your drummachine mostly, or a midiclock in which cas you can separately trigger your drummachine also differently) then use the sync in of your TD3, you can divide or multiply the clock of 4/4 usually by even, uneven numbers or even prim numbers, which the TD3 receives as master clock. This must be done patternwise or for longer patterns in a track. That is the best and easiest way to go, but has to be operated live if you wanna mix times. Polyrythm pure and tight AF. I would not see write to use for a whole songs bassline, but rather for longer scenes combined from A-B Bank repertoire respectively, 7 tracks is a bit too less. If you put two different times from the clock divider into an AB switch you may automate this for tracks by a third device e.g. trigger AB-Switch after 36 bars or so.
Hi & thank you very much! So I use Track mode, but I can't do this on the one hand: -A erase a Pattern -A erase All Patterns (at once if possible?) I hope to find the answer here! good music to all!
This does not explain whether, after adding a pattern onto a track, you have to wait for that pattern to play all the way through its note sequence before you enter the next pattern onto the track. The (shit) manual doesn't explain this either.
I love how everyone is covering up the behringer logo. It really is awful. So awful that I (someone who is awful at logo design) could have made them a better one. I just removed it, it looks much better without.

Did you figure out how many patterns you can string together?

When you say 'you select the track you want' do you mean 'the pattern you want'?
How can you ask people to like the video before it even starts?

did anyone ever find out maximum number of patterns you can string together?
