Freight corridor has always been a good concept, so lets hope it gets completed and executed on time. As you all know even a small flyover in India can take 15 years to complete.

The Chennai port and airport requirs a major capacity upgrade and Tamil Nadu Government is demanding this for a long time along with connectivity to central electric grid. These all infrastructure don't even need a fraction of investment of annual additional trains that the Central Government anounces every year. But no. People of south will be ignored as usual by GOI.

one thing mentioned is wrong - bulk of Indian passengers go by road- this is wrong. Most of the passengers prefer rail and travel by it.
