    As beginner, whenever I don't feel like practising on my keyboard I watch one of Graham's demonstrations to inspire me to carry on with it. Blimey can this man play!

    Graeme what is the difference to the csp 170?

  • @martinrosschou
    @martinrosschou 9 місяців тому

    Can you show how to use it as a speaker?
    I know it may not be what most cares about, but for me it's important.
    Like just playing music through spotify from a smartphone

      Its really easy, simply Bluetooth Audio your device and press play on the song you want. All the best Graham (We will look into doing a video to show this feature)

      @@RimmersMusicVideo I mean I wouldn't complain about a video, and who knows, it might be a selling-fact; however you answer is enough for me, thanks a lot Graham :)

    Are there any key differences between the older 170 and this 275? I’m debating upgrading from an older Auris 141 for the app capability and better action

    • @MauricioMouradaSilva
      @MauricioMouradaSilva 9 місяців тому +1

      From what I could see that are not that many differences, see if they're important to you:
      - The 275 action was upgraded, from NWX to Grandtouch-S (should be the same as the CLP-745, if you have tried that. Going from the GHS in Arius to NWX is going to feel much more of a difference than going from NWX to Grandtouch-S, but of course it is better for you to try by yourself in a store to see what you prefer)
      - Both CFX and Bosendorf grand have binaural sampling now (vs only CFX for the 170)
      - There are a few more voices on 275 (both of them have hundreds of voices anyway)
      - You can do wireless connection to the app now via bluetooth (usb only on 170)
      Maybe there are some other smaller differences, but those should be the main ones. Unless the price difference is quite substantial, better go with the 275 I guess.

    Great review! I would like to see what the 295 has over the 275. Is it worth the extra cost?

    • @RimmersMusicVideo
      @RimmersMusicVideo  9 місяців тому +2

      The CLP295 has a better key action with counter balance, better and rear speakers plus great cabinet piano looking design. All the best Graham

      It also has slightly more voices (872 v 772) and slightly more styles (525 v 495). The key action and speaker system might not seem like much but it's Yamaha's top of the range key action and also a very impressive multi speaker system. The 295 is also shaped like a proper piano and the sound is more immersive like a real upright piano. Basically for most people (beginners and intermediate level) the 275 is the best, it has more SA voices and loads of choir voices that the previous 270 model never had. However if you're an advanced pianist and want a better pro touch giving greater expression given by the longer keys, then the 295 would be best.

      @@sheffsteel7 few days ago I found out about the new 2 series of CSP... Was about tho buy the CSP-170 and now I'v got a dillema if I should save more money for the 295 or go for the 275. I never played an instrument (don't blame me :( but I want badly to give a piano a try and I thought that the CSP si the right instrument. The piano will be placed in a medium room (18 sqm) in one corner - so is the sound quality difference be noticable between 295 and 275? Thank You for the advice.

      @@jurajbeger9299same I was about to get csp170. Now I’m not sure whether I should buy 170 or 255. I’m not going for 275/295 as they r too expensive. I think u can consider buying the 275 bc in the future when u r very into classical pieces and u wanna thrive in more dynamics u can always get an acoustic piano. For me the only difference between 275 and 295 is just that 295 is more similar to acoustic sounds and keyboard feelings. But take note that digital piano no matter how good it is, it is still losing to acoustic in terms of playing classical pieces. So 275 is good enough

    Thanks for the demo Graham! Does it only work with the native Yamaha app, or would it also work with Simply Piano?

    • @RimmersMusicVideo
      @RimmersMusicVideo  7 місяців тому

      I do not know the APP you are referring too s not 100% sure, sorry. It works brilliantly with the Yamah Smart Pianist APP. It has Bluetooth MIDI & Audio, so it may well work ok withe the app you are referrring too. All the best Graham

      @@RimmersMusicVideo Thanks for your reply Graham. Simply Piano does indeed support Bluetooth MIDI, so it'd be fully compatible. Going to get a 275 now 🙂
