I don't which one to buy: csp295 or clp785? What's feature the clp would I miss if I go for the csp?

Great review again Tony but that's a given. As expected the CSP275 generally is an incremental slight improvement over the CSP170 in most areas. The big change is the additional choir voices substantially increasing from 13 to 51 and there's also a decent increase in the very high standard SA (super articulation) voices increasing from 113 to 163, with for the 1st time SA voicing on the solo strings (2 violins, viola and cello). Also more pipe organs too increasing from 6 to 16. Not heard the choir voices yet but probably worth upgrading just for those, as different choirs and vocals provide fun and something different to normal keyboard sounds. Can see you're reviewing the CSP295 with it's top of the range key action and speaker systems (the same as what's on the CLP785).

There's small improvements in almost all areas, slightly better keyboard, slightly better speakers, slightly more voices, slightly more reverb effects, slightly more drum kits and accompaniments. However the big change is there's a lot of more (13 compared to 51) vocal and choir sounds in the new model and also there's a decent increase (113 compared to 163) in the really high quality SA (super articulation) voices. Overall think it's a noticeable improvement especially if you like a large selection of high quality vocal and choral voices like me.

I have a CVP 405 and was thinking of upgrading to the CSP however just read the reviews of the app on the apple App Store and was not impressed. Yamaha need to do something about this as the whole point of the CSP range is the app.

I've been waiting for this review. Some really impressive new voices! Can they be found on the app and plugged into the cheaper models?

The voices are produced by the piano's own hardware, so sadly not! The app just allows easy access to the sounds produced by the piano.

I see that there are 50 classical songs included for training with Stream Lights. Is it likely that Yamaha will add more later (paid or free)? I know ow you can add songs through the App, but it seems like it will not generate the full song, but more accompaniment style.

Yes. It is a bit heavy but with 2 people you will manage it.
