I haven't played the early games yet so i dont entirely understand the context but honestly with just the scenes of the video it feels like ocelot is like a small possibly autistic child obsessed with cowboys practicing his cool capgun spinning tricks and big boss is just smiling and going along with it

I remember snake saying something about how ocelot twists his arm to absorb the recoil from firing which is a technique that would help ocelot more if he was using a revolver
@@royalpancakes7807 it's a real technique you don't lock your elbows on revolvers to dampen the recoil slightly. Also the Way Ocelot's Makarov jammed was from him placing his hand over the ejection port when trying to eject a live round making a double feed.

I always enjoyed the interrogation scene at 4:56 because of its implications on the story. The Boss is being put through the ringer by Volgin and rather than allow the Boss to cut out Snake's eyes, Ocelot decides to deflect attention away from Snake and towards EVA. Even though Snake's actions end up having him lose an eye anyway, it's a perfect play by Ocelot. It gave him an opportunity to dispatch a Chinese spy and save Snake in one move. Even though the plan backfired, it was still significantly better than Snake losing both eyes to The Boss. Notice how The Boss does Ocelot's "you're pretty good" pose as Ocelot walked out of the interrogation room. When even the boss is impressed at your handiwork, it's safe to say you're truly a first-rate spy.

I know its been a while but, at 1:30 you can see ocelot holster his revolver the wrong way and then for a sec he just flips it around while slowly putting it back in like "*holsters and sees its the wrong way* shit let me fix that and hope nobody saw" while in front of big boss.
Here's the thing, it was motion capture, and the guy who did the moves was Tornado Yoshida, but one thing that adds to the unnecessary amount of detail is that they used mocap sensors ON THE REVOLVERS TOO...
It's trippy to look back at these cutscenes and remember that back in 2003 this was far and away the best looking game out there. Still one of my favorites

You missed a one scene of Ocelot spinning his gun. It’s between 2 cutscenes - one is as Ocelot’s leaving the torture room, and after Snake jumped to the waterfall, when Ocelot saw the bullet on the 1st chamber and doing a couple of spins to his gun.
Yeah, I noticed it before. I screen recorded it, assuming that it was with the other shots as I was editing, I noticed it a few days later.
