Gemmy Life Size Buck The Animated Trophy

I got this as a Christmas gift (on Christmas, obviously), when I got it, it had a split gear in the side to side movement and the ears. It was incredibly hard to get the skin on and off, and there are so many screws you have to take out just to get buck off the plaque. After hours of fighting with it I finished the repairs, and he does fully work, but I’m not entirely happy with the repairs yet. This video took so many takes to film, and by the final take (this video), the up/down movement has started to slip a little bit, it doesn’t do that when it’s flat against a wall, but since it isn’t in this video it does slip a few times. I don’t have anywhere to hang this yet, and won’t until I finish redoing my room in a month or two. By then I’m probably gonna go back in and replace the gear for the up/down mech, and probably in the side to side mech too because I kinda messed up the new gear when I pushed it on the shaft, since I didn’t realize I could just pull the whole mech out at the time lmao. I also had to glue one of his antlers in since the spot it connects to was snapped, and I replaced the gear in the mouth while I was in there so I wouldn’t have to take the entire skin off again any day soon. So yeah, definitely expect a reupload in a few months, but for now, this will do. I’ve wanted one of these for years, and I’m so happy to finally have one, I love all the songs this plays, and the movement on it is absolutely incredible. This thing is built like a freaking tank, and it is soo heavy. This is definitely one of gemmys best items ever. Although now that I finally get to see one up close in person, I’m honestly kinda disappointed, Most of the time I get an item like this it’s so much cooler in person than on video. Its not that it’s boring, or worse in person, it’s just like… exactly what I expected I guess lmao. Which isn’t really a bad thing, that just doesn’t happen that often I guess.
