When you break a powder or eyeshadow. A trick is to pour alcohol (the higher % the better) into a cap. Scrape or place as much of the broken pieces back into the container. Make sure the pieces evenly cover the container tray. Working in sections pour alcohol onto the powder and press down reforming your compact powder. Work around the tray continually pressing the powder back together little by little. Let the powder dry for an hour or two. Check compact. Keep drying if necessary. Then you have your pressed powder again.

No don't throw it away... add some rubbing alcohol to the broken pieces and press it back together with tissue to remove the alcohol!!! Wait for it to dry... that should work until you get another one!! I'll works for broken eyeshadws as well.
