This is literally the first time I see a foreigner eat Indian food so well with their hands! Also, you never have to be embarrassed to ask for more rice frequently. It is the host's duty to cater to the guest/customer. Indians pride themselves on our hospitality. Sure the hotel is run by non-Indians but they serve Indian food still. I am vegetarian but Chettinadu cuisine is excellent in terms of both veg and non-veg. I hope we can see a hotel which serves veg Chettinad food. This means we can see more variety of it.

In our culture, in a family, one person will serve all first, they are usually younger, but not youngest. Cause touching the food/food ladle with left hand is forbidden (If u r left handed, can't touch it with right hand then) then after the members have eaten, the person who served others, is made to sit and the people who ate serve them. It is a sign of respect and affection. Idk if they do this in other Asian countries, but we do this in India.
He is one of the few people who appreciate south indian cuisine and I too am with him! Their unlimited meals are amazing and generous when its comes to quantity.

I still remember to this day, I used to work at MTR. Where they have special meals (unlimited). One time 5 Tamil people came to our restaurant and they ordered these special meals. They ate like 83 small size dosa and 35 poori and one cooker rice. That day was nightmare for our waitres. 😂😂
