Ricky: Karen's enthusiasm makes me feel proud on the way a young man as yourself treats and supports his young and naive wife. Keep up your love and support for such a beautiful person name Karen!
I remember my first snow in NY City December 7th of the year when we emigrated. It was nighttime, it was a significant snowfall, and the street lights made it into a magical wonderland (before all the cars the next day made it into a slushy mess!). I'll never forget it, and totally empathize with her. After living in cold climates for many years, I'm now in Florida, and if I don't see snow ever again, that would be ok with me! LOL!
Best of everything to you two. My wife and I jumped through the hoops to legally be together in the Greatest country of them all the USA. My philipina wife is the funnest most patriotic American it has been quite a journey 16 years and counting wishing you as much happiness as we have together.
Thank you for this wonderful gift, Ricky and Karen! Karen’s first spontaneous reaction to snow brought back beautiful memories of my childhood.. Sometimes in life, we take special moments like this for granted. I’m so happy that you’ve found each other and are sharing these experiences together. It may seem like a simple thing, but as tears roll down my face, I thank you for softening this old man’s heart! God bless you both!
You guys are so sweet together I needed to see this through new eyes I’m old and the cold hurts me nowadays…. We got our first dusting of snow last night and I’ve been cranky and grumpy about the cold all day… Karen is such a joy Thanks so much for sharing this special moment with us… I pray God continues to bless your marriage ❤
I'm so happy for you, Ka! I cried too, seeing you cry when you witnessed the snow. It was just a dream before, but now it's finally real-your dream came true.😘
Karen your reaction is priceless. Ricky you must be God's son your blessings are endless. God bless and one day my wife and I hope to met you both. When we get back from the Philippines we will be in Indiana. I'm so deeply proud of you both and posting your love showing us the gifts God grants us when we follow him. Oh and Karen be careful running in the snow the more it falls it will become ice very slippery 😂😂. Can't wait to see many more memories you two never fall from that beautiful love. Bye for now 👋🏻👋🏻
@leonardbryan4333 We appreciate your kind words. God truly blessed us having each other. And yes, hopefully we will meet someday with your wife. I have a family in Indiana. May God bless you too!
my sister in law is Filipino, and she flew to Chicago in winter with it snowing, she only had on summer clothes and flip flops when she landed, it took her awhile to adapt to American culture, so many firsts, and achievements she also has become a proud American citizen , we are all so proud of her, and so proud she is part of our family. I hope you enjoy America and get to make lots of snow angels and enjoy all your firsts congrats on your marriage also
I remember my ex-wife seeing snow for the first time, she is a Hawaiian Filipina who for the first time left the island to Chicago and said "this is not snow,,, its just frozen rain" lol
I brought my Filipina over to Canada in the middle of winter. I met her at the airport with a big parka, and mitts and a hat etc. She ran out of the airport and grabbed a handful of snow. Her honest reaction was, "Oh, it's cold!" And 18 years later she still likes snow, and takes lots of pictures of it.
As a fellow American married to a Filipina, I’m always amazed at what my wife can sleep through-or even on! 🤣 Maybe I’m biased, but it really feels like a Fil-Am relationship is the perfect match. I say “biased” because I’m so damn happy, and the overwhelming majority of Fil-Am married couples I know are just as happy. Marriage here seems to be the great gatekeeper, filtering out bad intentions. With no divorce in the Philippines, it’s clear that getting married is a serious commitment-and one that tends to attract women who truly value the relationship. It’s such a great dynamic, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything!
“All my life through, the new sights of nature made me rejoice like a child.”- Marie Curie It warms the soul to see Karen react to this wonder we all take for granted.
Winter can be harsh but very beautiful too. Last year we had an ice storm. The next morning it looked like the whole neighborhood was made of glass. For a few hours it was a totally different neighborhood
this video is so cool Ricky & Karen. my fiancee will probably have the exact same reaction when she arrives here in the US in late 2025. i currently live in Fargo, North Dakota & she's from Vietnam. she's never seen snow in person or experienced temps below 65F. winters here in North Dakota can be brutal so i'm curious how she handles it 😂. the hardest part now is the waiting/patience for the paperwork processing, which has already been filed. if all goes well she'll be here late next yr. 🙏❄️🌬☃️
Hi guys, I saw this thumbnail and it reminded me of my best friend at school, Joel from the Philippines. The school was a boarding school in the highlands of Scotland, One night it hammered with snow, but it melted a little bit then re-frozen leaving an ice crust on the snow, Unknown to my friend who had only imagined it to be white and fluffy, he goes running into a snow drift... Much confusion and disappointment and a few scratches later.. unlike your experience.
I took my filipina wife to Montana after we got married in the Philippines but we were in the military and it was a shocker.....lol we got there in August and it snowed in September through May she didn't go out much. We got divorced after 10 yrs and now she lives in Florida. :)
I grew up with minor snows... dustings... snow-ball capable... not really snow-man buildables, though. And when I reached a Real Snow Fall (ski resorts), I loved it. Those were rather warm-ish weather (relatively). But my first lake-effects snow (Cornell - Ithica, NY - I knew I'd never EVER seen REAL snow. Years later, we spent a winter in our Canadian Rockies place and we have 3 meters of snow, and hopefully more... 3+ meters means "great wellwater into the summer months"... 3m means "pay attention to well levels" - darn.
We did spent 2 weeks ni Baguio during late summer. No snow there at t the time, but it's got snow and winter-ish resorts. A most beautiful part of the Philippines, although we prefer Cebu and sailing, or taking ferries. Also another tip - get the hotel FIRST THING before sampling the beckoning world of aromas on the street. And local beers can be GREEN beers - not-so-ripened grains - and these all can play havoc with the uninitiated digestive systems. But we love the P.I.
Safety warning, never put your feet on the dash, in an accident, if the air bags inflated, would be bad. Just not a good idea. Always wear a seat belt. Good to see happy people.
I wasn't sure why you had to go north to see snow if you were in West Virginia 🤔 i live in the pa tri-state area about a half hr from west Virginia we get tons of snow 😂she was so cute seeing her first snow. Treat that 1 good man. I know in Kentucky they got some cool four wheel adventures like atv. Hell in Kentucky you probably got your own atv. 😂 4 wheel adventures. Get all muddy just keep her away from the moonshine 😂
I was in love with snow before, as a person born in a Tropical Asian Country, But having moved in Alberta, Canada 2 years ago, I now hate snow so much that I moved back to Asia.
Please believe me I just Fantasize about surprising a Foreign Woman with seeing Snow for The First time this week, then I see this Video. I Hope she was able to build a Snow Man!
This is one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen! Her reaction is Gold! It’s easy to see why he fell in love with her!
Awwww a pretty girl's first snow. She is amazing man. A keeper. I love her excitement at stuff. Awwww.

@@DennisD619 it's a heartfelt moment that I will always remember.
Congratulations great choice . My Filipina wife loves the snow and loves going on long drives .
Hopefully, kentucky will get enough snow this winter to go sledding together. Karen will be laughing all the way down the hill!
Was having a blah day until I watched your video and Karen made my day! Her happiness is amazing. Hope you both had a great Thanksgiving.
you can see the sheer joy and happy face.
She is a beautiful human being. Love the innocence from something most of us take for granted.
Seeing her so emotional over snow was so cool to see. You 2 are adorable together.

I pray God continues to bless your marriage ❤
It is soothing to see a young loving pair. BTW, keep your child-like happyness.
Such a cool experience for her seeing her first snow, and you seeing the joy on her face....great video
Awwww what a lovely young lady, her excitement for something we think nothing about was a special moment
If you look closely at each beautiful snowflake, you'll see that no two of them are alike!
Money doesn't buy the simpler things in life, which are precious.
Where I live we have no Piggly Wiggly but I still call my grocery store Piggly Wiggly. Yay.
I'm so happy for you, Ka! I cried too, seeing you cry when you witnessed the snow. It was just a dream before, but now it's finally real-your dream came true.😘
Great! Real excitement and emotion from such a simple, natural thing. We should all be so childlike!

That looked like Charleston WV! I'm in Huntington.
You are right. We were at WV that time.
I live in Charleston! Started recognizing places!
If there was a couple I'd root for, it would be this one. Many happy journeys ahead 💯🇺🇲❤
That is a real woman. Rick you are lucky to have sweet Karen.
To cute for words.
I lover her reaction and wish you both as couple a long and lucky live! Greetings from the Alps in Germany :)
There are paths to Filipinos coming to America. Several kinds of visas, some of which can lead to citizenship, are available.
Hehe her reaction to see first time snow is cute.
Ricky and Karen thanks for sharing your journey together.
Her first snowman is a sweet idea for a video.
We uploaded it already 😊
shes funny . happy for her

My wife's reaction to snow was similar, but it was in July in Australia.

The extra paperwork is the result of War Brides and the hysteria that War Brides will conquer America. Sheesh...
She Was Having a Surreal Experienced Never Experience Snow Except Seeing It In The Movies Probably Compared To Philippines Hot And Tropical Climate.
