Nice looking hinges. However, method # 2 is a complete FUBAR. Do NOT install legs using Method #2. The legs wont lock, and screwing into the end grain of the legs is all but guaranteed to fail.

These are NOT 90 degree locking hinges. While they open and lock at 90 degrees, when you closed them the will not lock in the closed position. The supplier said "just raise the hinge on a block". I tried adding a 1/2" block and that did not make it lock. I then went to a 1" block and that didn't work either. Even after adding a block height of 1.5", the hinge would not lock down.
It appears that the hinge may have to get closed to a 115 degrees or more before it will lock in the closed position. That being the case I would have to add upwards of 2.5" of block to raise the hinge enough to make it fold and lock. In turn, it your looking to get a flat leg fold, that does NOT work.
When shown both the video and raise block pic, the response from the supplier was "Just send them back". TOTAL WASTE OF TIME WOR THESE HINGES.

As far as I can tell, only method one actually locks the legs in place once the table is set up. Method 2, the legs would swing in if you picked it up to move it. Or am I not seeing this right?

This would be genius for a collapsible wall table.

Why would anyone want to make a table with legs that are locked in the folded position but not when the table are erected?

I'm looking for a similar hinge that has 2" offset built into it. I'm wanting a hinge that will work for a 2" slab drop leaf table. I want the leaf to flush out under the edge of the table. Do you have anything that would work for that?

THE QUALITY OF HING SAME AS SHOWN IN VIDEO IS I RECEIVED IS VERY BAD AND NOT VERY FRIENDLY USER. FIXING OF SCREWS AND OPERATING HINGES IS VERY CUMBERSOME. I INSTALL 4 HINGES IN U SHAPE U SHAPE OF MY FOLDING TABLE AND CANNOT OPERATE ALL 4 HINGES SIMULTANEOUSLY. AND HAD DIFFICULTLY IN INSTALLING SCREWS BECAUSE THE LOCATION OF SCREW HOLES ARE NOT PROVIDED AT CONVENIENT LOCATION. OVER ALL DESIGN OF HINGE REQUIRE PROPER DESIGNING AND GOOD FINISHING. CAN YOU MAKE VIDEO SHOWING INSTALLING 4 HINES ON U SHAPE LEG AND SHOW OPERATING METHOD.?

These are strong but really too short for a shelf. Look for folding shelf brackets 😁
