I've been procrastinating on the rim joist insulation project I have due to the cost of froth-paks and the amount of issues I've heard people have with them. I'd love to get the pros in but live rurally and it's like pulling teeth getting anyone to leave the city. Thanks for the video!
I think I would go for the DIY sprayfoam because according to lots of videos on UA-cam, spayfoam is great to fix minor and major structural problems on cars and I can then use the leftover foam material to save me thousands of dollars on car repair expenses.
Personally I'd go with Rockwool or something like that instead. It's gonna be a motherfluff, if you're ever going to change out or run wires, I imagine. Otherwize I'd make sure my wires were in conduits. On another note. Did you forget overlay music (or whatever it's called) on those spraying montages? Seemed too quiet :D Maybe it's just me. Thanks for another cool video, Stabio! Can't wait to see what's next.
you can get the 600bf spray foam by DAP for about US$870. I did my entire crawlspace walls and rim joists 2" thick with it. Was pretty easy if you maintain the correct temps and don't stop and keep moving. Was pretty inexpensive compared to professional. I'm sure the professional's charged many 1000's for what they did.
This isn’t hard work but you’re correct in the fact that the pros are the cheapest and most professional (cost wise) and they will always have extra foam for small (extras) so you don’t need to buy a whole new kit..
Thanks for the great video mateo! Its always a pleasure to help old friends with their insulation needs

$870usd is almost $1300 Canadian, so he basically paid $100 more to not lift a finger. Some things are just worth paying the pros to do
@@Waveito2 The price makes no sense, I guess spray foam is dirt cheap in canada, would be 3x that price in the US.
Can you give me the name of the company ? I live in Montreal and their price looks really good.
Here's his number 514.893.8086 Let him know you got the number from this video so I can maybe try and get a little commision! Who knows! Cheers!
@@mateostabio Will do!
