Calgary gives Huberdaugh, Kadri, Anderson, weegar all 50% retained and 2 first round picks for nuchuskin and Makar.
Kadri for Nichushkin makes some sense for Calgary because Nichushkin is younger, cheaper, on a shorter contract, and is a more proven offensive threat. Even with all that going for him, Nichushkin's off ice antics make him a distressed asset and (at the moment) likely make Kadri the more valuable piece. Teams won't want to give up valuable assets for him knowing he could be out of the league in 6 months. Ultimately, I would expect Colorado to add a good pick or prospect to make this deal happen.

@@ArmChairGMPodcast I mean it’s true. People are so quick to try and trade KK and hurt the Canes retool. Canes just missed their prime opening of their window and need to retool and work on the future. The Flames are also in a retool so I would think you for one would understand
That's an interesting one. From what it sounds like, Nichushkin will be heading back to Colorado. The team seems play really poorly when he's not in the lineup. However, he may have burned bridges with some top guys. Sounds like Mackinnon. And I would imagine Mackinnon has some pull in what this team does. He wanted Drouin, and that worked out. If he tells CMac that he feels nichushkin has burned too many bridges in that room. They'll try and move him.
Colorado needs to keep their cap open in case Landeskog returns, which is rumoured to be likely
