The rolling eyes and sighs from the pink Beverly Hills hoodie clad millennial completely misses the genius of this musical piece. Aside from the nonsensical lyrics, it's a masterpiece of tonality.
Watch it... millennial here who happens to love this song. This is pretty underwhelming though. Why bother making a reaction video if you’re not going to react?
It does seem that the music is not being listened to here. The reaction is to the video with no regard to the music. These people don’t really “do” music. It’s not worth the time watching their reactions if that is what you want. What I don’t especially like is that they claim to have an opinion on the music, but it’s really an afterthought. Perhaps if they listened to the audio alone, it would help. I don’t know, but it doesn’t make me want to seek out their reactions.
A reaction that is both oblivious to the song... It's melody, structure and ambience... The lyrics, their chaos and how they're inherently meaningless.... And the video, with its subtle references and visual ambiguity... Just pick songs/videos that aren't beyond your scope to react to and appreciate.......
I could make a reaction video to the smell of my farts much more engaging than this. Nik Kershaw is one of the most underrated songwriters of all time. Simple and catchy songs on the surface but so much creativity on the chord progressions and everything that happens beneath the vocal melodies. To write a catchy pop song is a task. To write a complex prog song is equally a task. But to make radio hits that combine simple melodies with complex structures is something only a few people can do.
Now I see what your problem is: You are only fixed on the videos, not the music. Forget the visuals, close your eyes and listen. Or listen to radio music, but what you do is waiting for an interesting clip, you are not interested in any SONG, only in the video.
Just react to music that was released after you were born. You have absolutely no idea, you have no background knowledge, you have no feeling for music that was published before you were born ... you lack the ability to put it in the shoes of the times before you were both born.
you stopped the video/music at 22 seconds in and talked for 45 seconds about an insignificant (to the song/lyrics) toy from the past???? you guys seem bored.. That's your reaction?
Thidv song is a complex song in terms of chords etc...where many popular songs rely on very simple chord progressions but personally I think it is a Masterpiece 🧐
The Riddle. The lyrics are meaningless, and just filler lyrics. He used them to help with the song composing, structure and melody. Nick never got to switch out for any real lyrics, as he though it just sounded strange, like a riddle. So it was released as. The video was shoot in an afternoon, with whatever was available on an unused set.
One of the most iconic songs of the 80's totally lost on the disinterested ears of millennials.

This is one of the only times where 100% agree with such a boomer comment
Screw that. I absolutely love this song! I dare say its a top 3 favorite song. Both the original and the Gigi remix.
They haven't the ears to truly appreciate this song and the absolute creativity and genius that came from Nik.
A GREAT SONG! Who cares what these 2 think about it, they are watching the video , NOT LISTENING to the genius chord changes!
Im 16 and this is on my list of favorite songs of all time

I totally love Nik Kershaw. Faces is another good one from him
One of the greatest popstar in 80's.
Please don't review anymore talented song writers and performers, that was awful ...
I agree 1000%
The riddle here is how these two are able to breath by themselves

These little puzzle toys were more an 80ies thing. Just like this music.

All their videos are like this... They always seem bored, especially Ashtyn. She really looks like she doesn't want to be there
you two don appreciate any music it seems, Sorry just my opinion.🤷
You are right on. Why is this even a channel? They seem sooo bored in every video.
@@TucBroder i know, and it is Sad when I see people reacting to music like this and they actually looks bored and are Just doing it for clout...
People be mad cause this is the only single reaction to this song that exists and they’re hyper focussed on an old toy lmfaoooo
The most entertaining about this video were the cats.
You even call yourself Enigma, that‘s fitting ❤️❤️❤️
Lollipop
If you don't understand the literary references, then the song will be even more boring, pointless, and meaningless to you

0:50, unfortunately most knockoffs were malformed to the point of being literally impossible to solve.
Horrible reaction
You need to check out" nobody knows"by nik Kershaw ,it's a hidden gem 🇬🇧
you dont even listen
These reaction videos are getting worse and worse, I swear to god.
It's cut off at the end, where he runs away with the question mark.

The song's video is a bit weird, but I love the song and Kershaw's voice.
