That Yoko "demonstration" is so ominous if you know what happened not that much later. (Spoiler - don't open if you don't want to know!) Yoko botched, landed on Jim's head, and cranked his neck sideways. He still can't fully turn his head to one side anymore to this day because of that accident. He's lucky he didn't die.

One show had a name for a character that got complaints. The other show performed a skit that was too close to the the truth. Examine the results. Reformulate opinion or potential hypothesis. My interpretation: don't reach too far. You can have your shows and their satire, so long as it doesn't reach us, or the minds of those we are fooling. Keep it elbow drops, double axe-hammers, figure four leg locks. Limousines. Pretty women. Gold watches. But there is yet a final curtain that must be kept drawn. Even for the most keen of audience members. And should a fellow happen to stumble beyond then off with his head. And perhaps yours too.
3W and Wrestling Bios are like Stone Cold and The Rock to me. 1A and 1B. While OSW Review is like Hulk Hogan, a little older but still puts butts in seats brother!

Between these and Wrestling with Wregret's retro PPV reviews, it's nice to get a full picture of this entire era of wrestling from a more clear perspective rather than 90 minute sumations.
I love actually going back and watching it all and deciding for myself. I actually disagree with a lot of www’s match grades. He puts far more emphasis on the moves performed than the storytelling of the matches. Ideally a match has both aspects, but if it only has one he has a heavy preference for the move heavy matches over the storytelling based matches.
I find it ironic that Vince was campaigning against the very merger which would cause WCW to be driven right into his hands! And thank you for these, serious memories of being 14 and lucky enough to watch both shows weekly! Keep up the good work dude!

When in reality, the Time Warner money and merger, meant that their standards and practices took away what made them successful and resulted into their sale to Vince.

Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner with the ability to go like early 90s Scott Steiner would have been the biggest star in the history of wrestling. Scotty's biggest problem was by the time he changed his gimmick, he had taken so much damage that he couldn't have the same great matches he had in the past.
This was about the time when I first took interest in WWF and started watching regularly as a kid. I remember the creepy way Paul Bearer was calling out to Diesel as he brought the casket.
During the Savage/Hogan vs Flair/Sullivan match I saw so much yellow and green it looked like a double mint gum commercial.. Speaking of wearing yellow, I am surprised Hogan didn't have it in his contract that only he wore yellow.. I still believe that Hulk Hogan and Kevin Sullivan where separated at birth..
I guess Luger never got over his Summerslam win without getting the WWF championship three years earlier. So he did this win just to stick it to Vince.
