Ant and Dec???? They’re not a patch on you two!!! Brilliant vlog again - loving both your projects, they’re brill and I’m really looking forward to the modelling soon - your virus is looking awesome, Aine - makes a nice change to do that when you’re fed up with the ribbing on your jumper!!! See you both soon, my chicks! Jen xxx❤️❤️

Love knitting with you guys. So nice to catchup on what youVe been working on. The Woad dying is stunning!! If you pull the loop out onto one side and knit around leaving the loop hanging off the one end that’s called a traveling loop. Ideal for shorter cables and small circumferences. Like the decreases on a hat or the end of sleeves.

The woad dyeing is looking great, can't wait to see and touch it. The bananas provide fructose or fruit sugars which act as the reducer. Other fruits are available, and I've seen recipes that use pears or just fructose, which you can buy in the supermarket. It's called the 123 recipe. That's the sum of my knowledge! Haha! xx

That's amazing, it's a great alternative to chemical reducers. Thank you for sharing!! Áine

Hello. Love the virus shawl. I have made 6 of those, they're addictive lol. I followed Fiber Spider on his UA-cam channel to learn. I got a fleece from my friend and washed, carded and spun it, dyed it. Leicester Longwool sheep. I absolutely love doing all of that. Keeps me sane, I think. Take care xxx

Wow 6 Annie! Well done. Yes they are so addictive. Jen loved making them and has done 4 more for me and the shop. It shows off the yarn so well. Ooooo not heard of fiber spider - will take a look 👀 ooo now.....this is something I’d like to have a go at is dyeing in the wool but not sure how to wash it. You’ll have to give me some tips. I’ve tried spinning....can’t do it haha. My feet and hands go all over the place hahah...but...I suppose it’s like most things....practice practice practice I expect to much too soon. Oh yes....all this crafting keeps us very sane. Very important too especially at this most surreal time. Stuart x

This American tourist would definitely come home with some woad-dyed local yarn, whether or not Stuart has weed in it. :)

Thank you for the new vlog as usual the content is very interesting. This may sound like a dumb question but any idea why the virus shawl is called that? Thanks so much for the links, I was so excited to go have a look at Mandy's IG but sadly it is a private account so can't see anything. I saw the cables she had done when you posted on your IG and it looked amazing and extremely difficult. Aine thank you so much for sharing your cross stitch project I have several of them that I could just not figure any of them out it was as if the patterns were written in a foreign language that I just couldn't get my head round. They have been in my craft room for literally years! Now thanks to you Aine you have given me the way to do it, all I need to do is just go get one for a child and that will hopefully show me how it's done! Stuart do you get a chance to play around with your overlocker? I know your so busy with the dyeing that you probably don't but I just wondered, I have been playing around with mine and thinking how silly I was to be terrified of it, I absolutely love it now and have been using it pretty regularly. BTW can't wait to see both of your jumpers completed and modeled! I'm so surprised to not see the first comment on the vlog to be from Jen she is usually one of the first. Can't wait to see what you two get up to in the next vlog.

Angela10226 sorry, Angela! Late to the party tonight - it’s been one of those days!! But hasn’t this been a fabulous vlog?, Oh, and the virus - I think it was called that because it was so popular when it first appeared, and the pattern spread like a virus - it’s a wonderful one to crochet - I love doing it! Take good care, Jen ❤️

@@davejencowan9163 Hi Jen hope your doing well, yes it was fabulous. Thanks for the response for the virus shawl I thought that it might be because when you were poorly you put it round your shoulders?? xx Angela

When you use magic loop and you have to two loops either side I think it's like fallopian tubes and ovaries ha ha!!

It does look like that when he pulled it through! I'm now going to chuckle every time I use it! Definitely need a longer cable for next time! - Áine
