So like it could totally be a temp track someone picked from their library or was like "Hey what's that one song we used previously?" That said if they did a deliberate reference and weren't just going theough the motions, I will give whoever made the decision a firm, yet polite handshake. Then ask them to leave because they helped make Boss Baby 2.

You know that part? It was my favorite.
You know what’s worse? Boss Baby won an academy award over a silent voice. When the judges were interviewed the majority of them said they view animation is for children and didnt watch the films.
Okay, some correction there No, boss baby did not "win" an academy award. It was on the nominations, which are clearly 2 different things! I haven't seen Boss Baby 2, so the full context of the Brazilesque music is unknown to me, but the visuals during that part seem to gel well with Brazil's whole juxtaposition of sprawling corporate bureaucracy with fantastical dreams of flying, to the point where I think the reference is absolutely valid and unlikely to just be a coincidence via temp music sticking around til the end of the process

Gotta push back on the idea that voice acting is easier. It's not. You have to imagine the entire set. And you often don't get to work with your fellow actors, so you have to imagine them, too. If you can’t act, you certainly can’t voice act. And there are many talented actors who absolutely cannot voice act.

No, boss baby did not "win" an academy award. It was on the nominations, which are clearly 2 different things!
I know Silent voice not being nominated, but boss baby nominated makes you really upset and I understand that despite not liking Silent voice. But that doesn't mean you can just put wrong facts on the comment section.
What business do judges have passing scores to films they've never even watched?? How do people take the Academy Awards seriously when they know these people are quite literally going to judge a book by it's cover?? The film industry is such a joke in so many ways.
@@lizardman7718 Just read the manga. It is miles better. The movie is rushed to all hell in my opinion
And that's why all the award shows are jokes and should not be taken seriously.
I'm glad one thing to come out of this was a solid minute of appreciation for the voice acting talents of Tara Strong
Adum reacting to the wierd amount of butt shots shows my trauma to seeing the first movie back then. The infinite horror. *_*
Adum should do the Madagascar trilogy
He has, he called it the MCU. Look on his channel.
They discussed it at length on Sardonicast when Alex recommended the trilogy
Adum has to marathon the Netflix Boss Baby Series now. I await your commentaries in 3 years 🫡
Adam watched boss baby on a plane like I did. And we both survived a 12000 foot freefall.
Try again, don't give up on your dreams.
this was nominated for oscar over Koe no Katachi. Let that sink in
Over my favorite movie, that i remember eating crackers and sobbing to the first viewing because it impacted me. I will always hold that grudge. Oscar’s are fucking stupid.
@@fearful1139 I feel you man. I remember watching it the first time when was only in grade 9. I didn't cry but I just sit there in a void, i didn't know what to do with those feelings of watching such a magnificant piece of art, so I watched it again... 3 more times.
@@aducktor5516 I was in 7th! I rewatched it many times right after too, and bought it on dvd. I was in a sort of void as well. I remember pacing back and forth in my room thinking to myself. I could not stop thinking about the movie. I listened to the soundtrack too. Really beautiful.
Editing goes hard. Good shit
Who edited this?!?! Youre literally sooooo funny and awesome love you
I haven't seen Boss Baby 2, so the full context of the Brazilesque music is unknown to me, but the visuals during that part seem to gel well with Brazil's whole juxtaposition of sprawling corporate bureaucracy with fantastical dreams of flying, to the point where I think the reference is absolutely valid and unlikely to just be a coincidence via temp music sticking around til the end of the process
It's funny because Baldwin killed someone.

I think people like puppies more than babies. Has anyone ever said how much they love getting up multiple times a night and barely getting a couple hours of sleep a night having to go to work the next day?
The conflict between the second and third act is something that bothered me in films, even as a kid, and I hated it every single time it happened. Like, kids aren't *that* stupid to not notice forced narrative.
Was working on a prop fetus for a movie- asked my supervisor "what movie is this for?"
He got confused, told me "Boss Baby".
For a horrifying moment I thought they were making a live action Boss Baby with animatronic fetuses.
adam would have liked it if it was called synecdoche, baby bosses
I still couldn’t believe Tobey Maguire was the narrator in the first one. Keep in mind, this was years before Spider-Man: No Way Home.
"Who am I? I'm Boss Baby."
Tobey Maguire was an established actor before and after Spiderman what foes that have to do with anything?
@@scrat9870 lol... sure buddy whatever you say...lol
@@scrat9870 After Pawn Sacrifice, that chess biopic, he just kinda disappeared. If anything, I just assumed he retired from acting and probably wanted to be out of the limelight because of his gambling issues. That’s pretty much why I had doubts he would ever come back in Spider-Man No Way Home.
@@iamthekingof1omillionsunsetshe was though you absolute goober
Puppies are better than babies, Adum, I don’t know what to tell you.
SHREK THE THIRD IS NOT WORSE THAN BOSS BABY ARE YOU INSANE
yeah i think people remember it as worse than it is. at least it’s memorable, i’d prefer it over a lot of the more generic stuff they’ve made
it's mediocre but it's certainly not the worst dreamworks movie
congratulations, Adam. You are now 2 boss baby movies closer to death.
Gotta push back on the idea that voice acting is easier. It's not. You have to imagine the entire set. And you often don't get to work with your fellow actors, so you have to imagine them, too. If you can’t act, you certainly can’t voice act. And there are many talented actors who absolutely cannot voice act.
Adam at 5:39 is SO REAL for expressing his hyperfixations like that. It's EXACTLY how I feel about the shows and movies I love that I'm like "OH MY GOD I GOTTA KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS AND LET OTHERS KNOW NOW", and I'm glad Adam put that into words.
The legacy of Ralph
Sonex is an amazing editor, I laughed several times at his comedic timing. Well done!
They had to have the horse for the fight, it's like their lightsaber
I see that Adam has found true cinema at last.
The White House press conference edit killed me, well done there!
🎵 Black birds singing in the dead of night...🎵

damn, i fuck with this editing.
In the middle of watching this and my husband says "look at this" as he shows me a tik tok trailer for "Mufasa: The Lion King" .....my soul has jettisoned. Can't wait to hear Adum's thoughts on this one 😂
Can we just take a second to appreciate the fact that Adum is a furry who refuses to cut his hair, hates dogs and children, is a musical theater nerd to the point of obsessing over it and is still somehow one of the most successful autists on UA-cam? Gotta respect it
11:08 Megamind 2: allow me to introduce myself
an unexpected episode of adum and pals
but sadly scoot was not allowed to view the boss baby without legal counsel present
We just watched this because my girlfriend thinks it's such a "cute" movie, and all of the butt jokes just made her giggle. Luckily we were able to agree that these parents are completely psychotic.
Having been a fan of Ralph's for years as well, knowing that you watched these because he basically made you for the podcast makes this extra sweet. I wish I was sorry.
I wish I had ppl to shittalk movies n shows with. every time i do it here, they keep shushing me or take it the wrong way. or they'll tell me i need to go see a therapist bc i sound bitter from not having an ideal childhood as in the films. lol xD
5:29 I have that same autism, except it’s when I’m writing essays. When the topic is uninteresting to me, I get writer’s block and don’t understand a single thing. When it IS interesting, then I can write passionately and not worry as much. “Hakuna Matata!”
This has gotta be the best video I've seen on youtube
5:00 ish in
Adam's whole rant about info literally bouncing off his brain is so relatable omg
Adam shoulder-dancing in his chair made my day. Then Sonex made it a loop at the end and made my week.
What a time to be alive.

FINALLY THE VIDEO OF THE FUCKING CENTURY!!!
Core memory of mine is watching the boss baby for the first time with my dad late at night and then when it was over he said “wanna watch it again?” And so we watched it twice in a row
That's... an interesting relationship with your father...
@@SnibsnBibs yeah that’s the most bizarre thing we’ve ever done though

this video is proof that Adam should not be allowed to adopt.
But he wouldn't want to adopt anyway 😂
The Boss Baby movies are like... animated Adam Sandler flicks.
What about the actual animated Adam Sandler spiritual experience 'Eight Crazy Nights'?
This entire movie is psychic damage
Thank god Cat BF was here actually understanding the movie, he points out all the insanity that Adum ignores.
