No!!!! No!!! No. No. No. No. Doctor Doom should be the one to replace Kang as the main villain in Avengers Secret Wars. Having a variant of Thanos makes no sense because Doctor Doom is the best choice as a villain right now.

Honestly even the IDEA that they’re thinking about this is making me such a ticking time bomb with marvel. It’s kinda sad.. like almost insulting to the fans. Just create a good story they have all the resources
Simply that they might change direction due to an actor's legal issues (which may or may not be valid, not the point) shows that they didn't have a long term plan worth mentioning.
If the story was good enough you hire a new actor and move on. It's a multiverse story, some of the Kang were lizards...

My first introduction to Thanos as a kid was in the early 2000s while I was playing the Wii which was a game called Superhero Squad Infinity which is a great game growing up I get to know like a lot of Marvel characters and stuff

Although I do think seeing King Thanos would be cool I also think what’s happened/happening to Jonathan Major’s is a huge shame as his portrayal as all the different Kang variants was awesome to see & that’s what we need in this next chapter of Marvel, new villains & new heroes teaming together with the old to take out this new massive threat, but it’s Fiege’s decision at the end of the day so let’s hope they’re not bad ones

In theory it sounds cool and it certainly happens in comics ALL the time, however I feel like the general audience (and maybe even a lot of fans) will feel like this is just a cop out. I'm down for it if it makes sense in the story, but this could also just be a knee-jerk reaction to try and fix the problem

I been thinking a Thanos variant as the big bad was one of the only things to bring the general audience back in. This is certainly a FAR better idea than bringing back the original cast Avengers team…

I d love to see Thanos back, just as long as it's not the big bad. I d like to see multiple villains built up , so they can bring them all together for secret wars. At this point it seems like their is no direction. They've totally screwed up everything so far with some movies and shows fans wishing they never made. Secret invasion, love and thunder, she hulk. I wish they d just remove them from Canon, especially secret invasion because the implications it made. They really don't have enough time to save this saga . They should have already set things up way more by now. They need at least another phase to even start to save the multiverse saga. I guess the Loki series might be reason enough to keep going. That was a true masterpiece in my mind, the only one in this saga with a few good to maybe even great other movies . GOTG 3, Spiderman 3, MOM was good but still not what I was wanting, Quantumania had some good spots (i did hate Kang getting defeated by ants basically, unless that was his plan somehow). I also liked a lot of Falcon and the Winter soldier. I do hate the subliminal mind programming with woke ideas, new world order propaganda, that are sometimes in your face. I think movies in general have sucked for the last 5-10 years. I don't hardly watch anything new anymore. Marvel movies were the only thing I was watching, almost ready to give up on them. I'm a Christian and there's a lot of anti Christian themes anyway. Sorry, this is a lot of ranting that nobody would probably understand.

I don't have a probkem with King Thanos being a thing. I don't have a problem with him being more prominent than a new Kang. What I do have a problem with is King Thanos being "the" big bad. It just feels a too Episode IX to me, if you catch my meaning. If they want to do this, they should make a threeway rivalry for dominance. Kang on one side, King Thanos on the other, then rumors of a mysterious third party working behind the scenes undermining their respective efforts. Then, at the moment of truth, Dr. Doom strolls in like the boss he is, revealing all of the little hunts of his machimations that lead to his moment of triumph. Maybe they could even homage that dope Secret Wars panel of God-Emperor Doom choking out Thanos and turning him to dust. Perhaps God-Emperor Doom isn't so much trying to just conquer and destroy like Kang or King Thanos, but he's fighting would-be competitors to save all of reality, but believing that he can do it by bringing everything under his ahthoritarian rule. Even if he's a multiversal version of Doom, Doom is going to be a major player in the MCU. His thing is that he wants ultimate power to become God and to be the benevolent dictator over everything, so not giving him his greatest feat, saving the multiverse and becoming God-Emperor over the remnants of the universes and timelines that he could save, seems like an odd choice.

my biggest problem with the MCU (Besides pushing MSheU too much) is since EndGame we have had Very Little Storytelling going on. Theres not much of a Story Arc in 5yrd since Endgame. We Had a Fantastic story with Loki except season 2 seemed to complete the story with Very Little Question left to answer. I hope deadpool3 saves/recreates the Multiverse falling apart but we just dont seem to have a direction where this all takes us OR how do we actually get to Secret Wars. I trully Hope somehow we get Back to Kang and how he iS REGAINING the TVA and defeating Loki otherwise how did we get to the TVA being rebranding and being back in charge to falling apart again. Once again the next phase or Arc NEEDS a clearer stoey and direction into what is coming next. Who is there to fear and Why…

If they brought back Thanos (from another universe) to somehow team with the Avengers, that would be dope. Somehow tie it in with Wanda and her redemption arc, have them cross paths and have Wanda go through some inner turmoil to get through her grief and forgive (even though it's not the same Thanos) that would be a GREAT story.
