I remember watching your videos on reloading that er on VHS tapes when I was still in the Marines. They really helped change my thought process and reloading methodology. I have been out of the shooting game for a long time now and the advances made since then amazes me. Tougher brass ended up working for me too, although I didn't really size the base every time I loaded. Thanks for the info about the C.I.P and SAMMI stuff too.
6xc, all day long David. I built a 6xc and got the petterson brass of your site. Been shooting it to 1,000 yards. Getting 0.5 moa groups with it in less than ideal conditions. I also have these chambering 22crdm, 6x47, 6br, 6.5 crdm, 300rum, and 338 lapua and the 6xc is my goo to hands down. Thanks for clearing this up. Tight groups and stay safe 🙏 👍
Excellent explanation David. Appreciate that. I think the problem a lot of people run into is they don’t but your dies. I made that mistake. But when I spin barrels for people I make sure they know the difference. And that when they pick your reamer I tell them to pair it with your reamer.
Thanks for the information. As always such a great wealth of knowledge and I appreciate you sharing any of it. Keep up the good work, I plan to build a 37XC in the future for ELR.
So, as long as I small base size the CM brass, and my chamber isn’t sloppy, theoretically, life would be good? Thanks for the informative video, I always appreciate you!! ( any info when the nose ring cutter will be available????).
Thanks Mr Tubb.I was on the fence about 6XC and 6mmARC.Mainly because I already shoot the 6mm ARC in my AR and like it.But Im going with 6xc for my bolt gun.Have a good day.
Hello Mr. Tubb I have just learned about the cartridge you designed, I’m going to have it chambered in an Encore pistol. Is a 1:7 twist too fast? Thanks hope you reply
I got a 6XC II reamed a couple of years ago, I wasn't happy as using standard 6XC dies you over work the case head too much and need ALOT of force, i ended up using a seperate body then shoulder bump die which is annoying for the extra steps. If you want a 6XC II chamber you really should first get 6XC II dies! 6XC II is not a newer version 2 of 6XC, its a different dimension case chamber! Its a catchy but misleading name!
The chamber is sloppy like that so the rifle can shoot most all brands of ammo. Despite brass thickness. Into the precision world, we don't want that. We want tighter tolerances

Thank you sharing this information! It provides direction when you are trying to figure things out.

Great information David! If you are able to build left-handed Tubb Guns someday, I'll be there.

It's coming down the pipeline. 3 month timeline.

He does a great job explaining things, even a dimwit like myself can comprehend.
But your not actually measuring the base diameter your up the web slightly .
David I wish I knew 1/2 of what you have forgotten about shooting and reloading
