- Aged 14, Finn Iles took the world of mountain biking by storm. He won the famous Whistler whip-off, after a social media campaign (#letfinnin) swept through the community.
That was the start of a Hollywood journey that saw him destined to reach the top of mountain biking.
Winning almost everything before him in the junior ranks, his ascension to the top of downhill seemed assured. But not all Hollywood stories run smoothly.
It took Finn four years on the pro circuit to win his first Downhill World Cup - but boy did he do it in style, on home turf at Monte Saint Anne in Canada, matched by iconic commentary from Rob and Eliot.
Ever since, Finn has demonstrated his consistency at the top level, coming within tenths of a second of that elusive next win.
He sat down with Eliot and Rob to reflect on his whirlwind career to date, his progression as a rider, the intricacies of a downhill season and what the future holds for the darling of Canadian mountain biking. As you can imagine, the guys had a lot of fun with Finn.

Absolutely criminally underrated podcast! Thank you guys 🙏
I could seriously listen to Finn forever! We need 4hour version hahaha I love when riders open up and speak about suspension saga!
What a great listen!
I was at MSA for Finn's win, I think everybody was holding back tears but they were too bloody excited! Our whole crew was rocking Look at the Time shirts so when he got a "Look at the Time!!!" it was perfect. Grew up racing with Stevie and watching that win was a really tear jerking moment for the legacy of Canadian downhill in general!
All three of you boys keep it up!!
Surprisingly entertaining because of how honestly objective he is.
Epic! sitting having coffee in Whistler watching this.. now its time to go ride. Thx for this rad podcast!
"Still Canadian" 😂. You're not Québécois but we still love you Finn 😂. Bonne chance à MSA cette année 🫶
Great episode! Thanks for the insights and the flashback to Finns win in Mont Saint Ann - rewatcht it and still got tears in my eyes

Going to watch it on the tube.
Cheers 🍻 fellas from Tennessee
Great interview, I love hearing about the mental side and mindset work. Dakota Norton said he was working on a lot of very similar things on the Moving the Needle podcast, and now look at his form this season!
Best show on the Intraweb!
Great interview!
Loved it :)
And i thought 1 hour will be too long.... super nice chat. Thanks.
Finn is just so consistent now but it seems every time he's poised to win Loic just mugs him like NYC subway vagrant lol
I said hi Elliot.....not sure if you shrugged me off or not. But we need to hear more of you. I apologize if I was rude
