No shame to people like NERD, but I'm not trying to be the Walmart of ball pythons.
I'm trying to keep my collection to where everything is AT LEAST het ultramel (since all of my dream projects are centered around that recessive) OR is something I'm going to be using to breed hets (I've got a super nice high-white calico I'm growing up and I intend to linebreed high-whites).
I'm at the very beginning of my journey though and while my day job allows me the funds to feed and care for them, purchases are far and few between.
That said, I've thrown the biggest bucks behind two proven/breeding size BEL girls that are het ultramel and will be breeding them to my pet male that got me back into BPs.
Everything will be BELs, banana combos, or BEL complex and I'm planning to save all the money I sell from the (hopefully) two clutches to put towards a high-end male. Preferably an ultra pied male with a couple of co-doms I want to work with.
So if you're going to try and sell to the pet market while you're building funds, still try to get those hets that are going to be relevant to your future projects so that you can pivot with them.
