DUKE FOOTBALL :: Pre-VT Motivation

In front of a packed crowd at Virginia Tech's Lane Stadium, the Blue Devils emerged victorious in a four overtime contest. Named the ACC Offensive Back of the Week, QB Thomas Sirk led Duke's offense, throwing four touchdown and adding 109 yards on the ground, including the game's decisive 2 pt conversion in the 4th OT. WR Max McCaffrey hauled in 6 receptions for 94 yards and 2 TDs on the day.
The game also saw a couple of firsts for some Duke players. DL Mike Ramsay notched the first sack of his career, and WR Anthony Nash recorded his first career touchdown when he broke free in the 2nd OT.
