“Indica and Sativa” from a marketing standpoint are different. From a biological standpoint, it is all the same plant. It’s the different combinations of cannabinoids that are perceived as different things, because of the effects said combinations have on the user.

There isn't, and here's why. The bright sensation comes from fresh THC, the couch lock comes from CBD (which derives from fractured THC). If you want the energetic bright feeling, harvest early. If you want the couch lock feel, harvest late. The end.
Indica grows short and bushy with big fat fan leaves and dense bud structure. The saliva grows many feet taller. The saliva fan leaves are long and thin and usually have 9 to 11 fan leaves to each water leaf. The bud structure is thin and loose.
Harvest either early, and you will get a nice bright high, because the THC isnt degraded yet. Harvest either late, and the THC will be degraded into CBD, which gives the couch lock sensation. That's the only difference, time of harvest. The reason so many strains have the couch lock feel, is because commercial growers go for max weight, which in the end produces a higher CBD content.
@breakawaybooks4752 I have been growing the say 2 seems harvested at the same time and planted at the same time for 20 years one of both.......you are full of crap and have nonidea what you are talking about lmao 🤣
I think every plant affects every brain differently. What is sativa for one person might be indica for another. It also depends on where you are. Have been sleeping? Eating right? Exercising? Etc.
I don't care what he says, there is a difference and both affect me differently. The difference is both different mentally and physically and I have even seen that difference in even a medical situation.
I expected more people to agree with this guy!!! To anyone who says that indica gives them energy, smoke an entire joint or two to your face and eat a family size box of cereal, then look at me with a straight face and say "Man, I am full of energy!"
This is ridiculous.. Sativa will make you wanna clean the house and have a panic Attack. Indica will put you on the couch for a nice chill leading to a nap 😴
I've been smoking since 1996 and I have to agree with that guy. I personally feel no difference between sativas vs indicas. When I buy weed I choose based off of THC percentage, look and smell. Sativa, indica or hybrid is irrelevant to me. That said, edibles have no effect on me either so it might have something to do with me personally. I don't know...

I have had medicinal cannabis for 14 years. Bad knee bad ACL surgery pain management. The shit I put up with in society because of people perception is frustrating. I would have less issue with hard pharmaceuticals.
Problem with these so called experts 90% of them never worked hard labor for 60 hours a week. There is definitely a difference if you need to rest or more energy.
It honestly comes down to terpenes, other cannabinoids, your own body chemistry etc I never made purchases based on indica, sativa, or hybrid I buy strictly off of terpene profiles
It’s obviously up to the terpenes, thc, cbd, cbn, etc It’s that combination that makes certain strains “special” And others just meh 🫤 I will argue that I used to smoke Mexican sativa, they got me so damn high I couldn’t feel my legs, and it was super psychedelic
There's a huge difference. A Sativa or Hybrid will never smell, smoke or taste the same as a bomb ass OG. As for the head high vs body high never mattered to me. I think some people try not to get too fried so they don't like indica.
Calling anything indica or sativa nowadays is incorrect. Just about every cultivar is a hybrid. You will get effects that can be dominant one way or the other. There are very few true indicas or sativas these days. Modern smokers call it indica or sativa purely based on the effects. Sativas are tall, tropical and longer flowering varieties. Indicas are squat, temperate and have a shorter flowering period.
I think Sativa and Indica react different to a person. I do believe the reactions are similar depending on multiple person perspective. For example, the way I describe Sativa is the same way my brother explains Indica. Though when I describe Indica its nothing close to my brothers example of it.
I didn't even know the difference when I had both-I thought weed was weed- and no one corrected me. So definitely no placebo trials with me- sativa and indica are different
Funny how ppl who don't smoke tell people what cannabis is and isnt. A good landrace sativa will keep you up, give you energy and is very much a stimulant. Indica is notoriously more like a heavy, sleepy kind of experience. It's different for everybody tho.
The more you remove the cbd, the more you change the effects of the taste and quality of the high. Stop ruining the weed! All the strains are suffering because of it. And that is why you don’t get as high as you did when you were young.
Smmfh. 1 makes u very tired, and the other doesn't make u very tired. That's 2 different things. That's why they have different names. Cheeder cheese and Swiss cheese taste different, but they're both still cheese. U can't say there is no difference it's just cheese. I’ve been saying that for 20 years. I’ve never been anything but high. I’ve never been like, I have to go to work let me smoke. Oh no that’s the wrong kind of weed I can’t work now.
I'm not sure it's technically true though. Apparently there is an African Sativa from the Durban area where the THC is chemically slightly different to other Sativa's and other like Indica and Ruderalis. I think one THC is pentyl and the other is propyl or vice versa.

@breakawaybooks4752 I have been growing the say 2 seems harvested at the same time and planted at the same time for 20 years one of both.......you are full of crap and have nonidea what you are talking about lmao 🤣
Then u must be getting shitty weed
@@breakawaybooks4752 no THC converts to cbn not CBD

They are as different as daylight and dark! “Smoke everyday”!
More to do with the individual tolerance and THC percentage among many other factors…and it’s mostly mixed and hard to find in “ pure “ form.
Whether it be saliva or indica, how you react to it can be totally different from someone else, everyone's body chemistry is different
I think every plant affects every brain differently. What is sativa for one person might be indica for another. It also depends on where you are. Have been sleeping? Eating right? Exercising? Etc.
There is a massive difference. Even the plants look different
Indica is wide as it is tall. 10x10. Sativa 20 Feet
I personally can not feel any difference between sativa, Indica or Hybrid. They are all the same to me.
Definitely differences. But they’re more similar than they are different
I've been a heavy toker for over 50years. I honestly can't tell the difference. Just so it's potent.
I don't know...
i feel like back then they wouldve had to go to court and talk to judges and go on trial .. now they can have a discussion online even on a podcast to solve it themselves.. we really grown through this social media thing.
One has me tired & falling asleep & one has me awake.
I 100% agree that the difference between sativa and indica is a higher contrast in juxtaposition than black vs. white! Amyone who tries to refute that fact has obviously never smoked topshelf cannabis!
Reading the comments is like seeing people debate on the difference between tequila and whiskey. Bruh it’s all the same
I have had medicinal cannabis for 14 years.
There are many obvious differences between indica and sativa including visual and length of growth periods
It’s obviously up to the terpenes, thc, cbd, cbn, etc
It’s that combination that makes certain strains “special”
And others just meh 🫤
I will argue that I used to smoke Mexican sativa, they got me so damn high I couldn’t feel my legs, and it was super psychedelic
There's a huge difference.
A Sativa or Hybrid will never smell, smoke or taste the same as a bomb ass OG. As for the head high vs body high never mattered to me. I think some people try not to get too fried so they don't like indica.
ITS ALL ABOUT THE TERPS IYKYK
No! Those people with "propensities" need to get through using high THC.. so they can handle it.
sativa - mind high (out n about)
indica - body high (couchlock)
Its a good way to weigh how how you gonna feel for sure if there different or not
There's published articles that weed is more addictive than heroin as well, doesn't make it accurate
@@zbly7679 even if it is at least you can die an old man instead of at 25
Nobody is working a street corner for weed. Stupid people can turn anything into a debilitating substance.
Def a contrast between the two however I will say I’ve had strong indicas that had me feeling like I smoke a Sativa .
Indica= in da couch, sativa= stay up. Indica is higher in cbd than thc, sativa is higher in thc lower in cbd
I do dabs and too much of a sativa and I start getting paranoid. indica just kills the pain no paranoia.
I've made fun of the fart smelling indica vs sativa snobs for years.
The only difference is noticed when you have higher than normal tolerance.
I like how the video length is 4:20
The reason why you don't see as much 100% sativas is the growing process takes longer to mature..
Omg, thats the same as saying there are no differences in the different types of alcohol.
Breeding at sometime or the other was bred indica x sativa in every plant, facts.
Funny how ppl who don't smoke tell people what cannabis is and isnt. A good landrace sativa will keep you up, give you energy and is very much a stimulant. Indica is notoriously more like a heavy, sleepy kind of experience. It's different for everybody tho.
I don't know man I've been smoking for over 25 years there's a huge difference between sativa and indica
Obviously these people haven’t smoked their whole life’s. Different terpenoids effect people differently
I had a college professor who claimed all beer tastes the same. I wonder if it’s the same guy
Its like saying there is no difference between beer and vodka
Continue to educate and have fun 😊
Studies on Cannabis are in its infancy stages .. Most of the cannabis used for studies are not the potency of what you buy at a dispensary .
It all comes down to brain chemistry. If you're adhd and stimulants relax you, then sativa might
The more you remove the cbd, the more you change the effects of the taste and quality of the high. Stop ruining the weed! All the strains are suffering because of it. And that is why you don’t get as high as you did when you were young.
Cloudy amber trichome a gives indication couch lock tired effect clear trichome heads gives sativa wired “paranoid” feeling
Smmfh. 1 makes u very tired, and the other doesn't make u very tired. That's 2 different things. That's why they have different names. Cheeder cheese and Swiss cheese taste different, but they're both still cheese. U can't say there is no difference it's just cheese. People say the dumbest stuff and then claim to be experts but lack common sense.
Reading this while eating cheese, lol
The common sense thing to do would be to take the Pepsi Challenge: Jazz Cabbage Edition
Very tired vs Not very tired
My greatest inventions manifested in thoughts from smoking sativa or sativa dominated strains
I've been smoking for 35 years and can't tell the difference between them, stoned is stoned.
I’ve been saying that for 20 years. I’ve never been anything but high. I’ve never been like, I have to go to work let me smoke. Oh no that’s the wrong kind of weed I can’t work now.
Real sour diesel is almost a whole other experience
Def. Differences
I tell bud tenders and friends this all the time, it has never changed one of their minds. 😅
I'm not sure it's technically true though. Apparently there is an African Sativa from the Durban area where the THC is chemically slightly different to other Sativa's and other like Indica and Ruderalis. I think one THC is pentyl and the other is propyl or vice versa.
Sativa = Hemp Varieties
Indica = Drug varieties

There is 100 percent a difference between land race sativa that contains THCV and indica.

I'm 59 I've smoked since I was 5 years old I know the difference really fast you tell him
Long time smoker. Never once cared what I smoked or when meaning what time. Was always moving regularly 😅
You can find "scientific" papers that say just about anything.
I think it's different for everyone. I feel no difference.
