Thank you for being considerate that these are our homes 💖 I had stayed in that same trailer at the Hostel summer before last while I did some work there. I'm a single woman living alone out here, now in my own camper at my own camp. Living out here I feel like for the first time in my life I have true friends and family. Many of us look out for each other and we probably have trauma bonding from the extreme heat, 😆 I appreciate videos like this one; tasteful and respectful.

Hey thanks for watching my video! It was a very cool experience to get to meet some new people. I did my best to capture parts of my visit, without it seeming like I was trying to exploit people’s lives (because that wasn’t my intent at all). So I’m very glad you enjoyed it!
...been seeing videos on Slab City, just tryn to figure out why anyone would choose to live there. I assume everyone has reasons, but it would run me crazy to wake up every morning and spend my day really doing nothing. Some, like Salvation Mt, The Range, Library, that area that the guy has Air Bnb's, East Jesus...where they actually purchased the land. I figure that this was their little touch here. The springs, I wouldn't trust...think about it, people been 'soaking' in that water since the 40's. I really don't believe that spring is self cleaning, no telln what is in that water. I remember seeing footage of some swimming in it, and one guy said it felt SLIMEY!!! YUCK, I guess I would be doing 'spit' baths, or wipes. Anyways, its entertaining nonetheless.
Haha I totally understand. To each their own I suppose, but I’m on the same page as you. I find it interesting to visit once in a while, I’ve stopped by 2 times now, but I certainly wouldn’t want to be there long term!
Thankfully I haven’t had any issues with it! I got it back in August, I’ve put about 20k miles on it since then, I’m at 166k miles now. No issues on any of my road-trips so far. Just done the usual oil changes, and I had to replace the thermostat. But that’s about it!
Myself and friends are anxious to stop in next year.....( here in Wisconsin is red hot with Covid right now, so we're holding travels back a bit........but oh yeah, Slab City is unique indeed .....bringing gifts is a cool thing to do when visiting 👍
Definitely different than anywhere I’ve been before! Hopefully things clear up in your area soon, so you can travel soon. Bringing gifts is a great idea!

How many people live there full time right now. I'll be moving there come new-years.

Good video. Slab City looks like an amazing place for the right kind of adventurous souls who are survivors of the elements.
Thanks for watching! You’re right, it’s certainly the perfect place for the right people!
I've spent 10 years alone in Slab City 😎🌵🌞
Tougher than me! I wouldn’t be able to handle that summer desert heat very long 😅
