The Sierra mountains are my favorite area around there I see you on your description you openly invite anyone to come join you prospecting I'd love for that chance seeing how I go out there at least once or twice a year anyway
Chris. Lots of respect to ya pal. I've got a suggestion for you. Get some knee pads. I use HDX home depot tile knee pads. There around $10 and they are some of our most important pieces of gear. They are orange and grey in color. When the pad itself gets thin you can use hot glue to add some padding. Thanks for making these videos. We enjoy them
Great video Chris - thanks for all the info you provide - even after prospecting for 30 years, I learn something in almost every video! I'm about to buy the book soon too!
My partner has a SDC, she finds more nuggets than I do with the 7000 . I usually go heavier weight though. I guess the 7000 can find the deeper targets.
There is only so much you can do with that. I do have tape around the batteries, and to the point where its a chore to get them out of the machine for re-charging, but still if you bump it hard enough it will re-set.
And answers turned intk questions again.lol i figured out something i have found is Unakite sith garnet and schrol and tiny phlogapite blades. As well as a quite soft, shiny , very slightly yellow tinged silvery metalic substance. Could that be zinc metal?
Understand, ok which would be better for bed rock? The Equinox? But can"t the SDC 2300 work just as well on bed rock also, or does its technology not work as well for smaller gold in bed rock? Or not much different? But if I got this correct, would the SDC 2300 work better for deeper nuggets in regular soil due to its technology? Thanks as always for your expertise...
Its a book about finding gold and applies to gold all over planet Earth. Its helped folks all over including Australia. I spent 6 weeks prospecting in WA years ago.
was out in holcomb valley sweeping with the gold monster playing tourist and checking out the scene got my videos going if you want check them out I saw there was some old mines on the san bernadino forest map so found 1 or 2 great day have a good day boss
Richard Billin , one can on occasion buy a used detector that still has factory warranty left on it. I picked one up for 1\ 2 the price of MSRP and it still had a year left on the warranty. Some folks buy one and loose interest quickly if not finding good gold right away.
Finding gold is not easy. As I say on many of my videos that its a skill to be learned. Gold is $2000 per ounce because its rare and hard to find. By definition as a novice you dont know what you are doing. Buy a pan for less than $20, then read and learn the skills.
Hi sir I found one nugget of white metal. How I found that's silver or zinc. Can you give some idea pls That's I think silver or what ? Tell me some home experimental to found that
Most people get it on Amazon, but unfortunately, at the moment, it is out of stock at Amazon. It will be back in stock at Amazon soon. I am in the process of re-printing the book at the moment and my book is just waiting its turn in line for the printer's schedule. Amazon has a notification set up so that they will send you an email when it is back in stock. Sorry for this delay, but I am working on getting it back in stock as soon as possible.
Hey Chris, I have another question for the Professional Prospector. This SDC 2300 vs the Equinox 800. Which would you prefer for gold and or which would you prefer for all round metal detecting? Also great job on your book. I am learning SOO much. Thank You for that also!!!
@@ChrisRalph Understand, ok which would be better for bed rock? The Equinox? I have both of these machines you mention and I find the most gold with the equinox which I use for prospecting. I find the biggest pieces with the SDC but the equinox is no slouch with big gold either. 95% of the time I am prospecting and moving quick with the equinox, but when I am mining and going slow I am behind the SDC. When I find a patch I throw every coil and detector combination I have at the patch. No one machine finds it all ever. With the different combinations though I have gotten everything worth having out of a patch. TLDR. For bedrock go with the equinox and a 6” coil
I guess I need someone to help me with set up of the 2300. Never have any luck with it. The Gold Monster is the machine I am having some luck with. Anyway good job.....
I have both an equinox and an SDC 2300. 95% of the time I use the equinox but when I get an area with gold and clean it out with the equinox I then move to the SDC , that is when I pull multi gram nuggets that were invisible to the equinox.
Hi Chris I'm a prospector myself and a big fan of you're videos. Do you have a email address that I could contact you on? I have something I would like you're opinions on, I think you're knowledge would be very valuable. Kind regards William
I get many, many requests like yours every day from allover the world, so many that I just cannot do that. I did a video on how to identify your own rocks and minerals. See: ua-cam.com/video/MpkW58ZeQlc/v-deo.html
Nice gold Chris, see ya in a couple weeks...
Can't wait! It will be great, I am sure you and Tammy will have a great time.
Great video Chris ! Lots of practical, useful information. I cant wait to get out myself !
Kind of hot down in the big AZ still, but when I'm buried in snow, you'll be enjoying great weather.
The Sierra mountains are my favorite area around there I see you on your description you openly invite anyone to come join you prospecting I'd love for that chance seeing how I go out there at least once or twice a year anyway
That's join me on this video, a virtual invitation, not an actual meeting. The Sierra Nevada are beautiful.
I know LOL

I got some knee pads, I just need to remember to bring them with me.
Thanks for taking us along.
Glad you enjoyed it, and I hope you are soon out finding some good gold.

awesome chris as always love to see yah detecting
Thanks 👍 Glad you enjoyed the video.

Yep. The 7000 with its bigger coil will see big nuggets deeper.
Very helpful video for all.
Thank you very much Sir.
Most welcome, I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Very good Professor, love your videos and the knowledge. 👍👍👍👍👍🇺🇸
Thanks 👍 Glad you enjoyed it, and I hope you are soon out finding some good gold.
Chris I think you need to put some tape around your batteries to stop the SDC2300from turning itself off when it gets bumped.
There is only so much you can do with that. I do have tape around the batteries, and to the point where its a chore to get them out of the machine for re-charging, but still if you bump it hard enough it will re-set.
While you were hitting the ground with that pick it sounded as if there was a huge void under ground. Thumps were heard only.
The rock is fractured and broken, that is what you heard - there is no open void there.
Thank you for your videos I have injoyed everyone.
Glad you like them!
Nice Nuggies !!!!
Thanks!

Zinc metal does not occur naturally in rocks.
a bad day of detecting is better than a bad day in the ICU
That's for sure!

If the bedrock is mineralized, the SDC would be better.
I'm up here at mineral bar right now having troubles finding places to use my metal detector for nuggets did anybody have any advice where to go
Hike up river and try some of the little ground sluice diggings along the river.
Hi... will your book help me here in the goldfields in Western Australia? Or is it suited more for the USA and surrounds. TIA
Its a book about finding gold and applies to gold all over planet Earth. Its helped folks all over including Australia. I spent 6 weeks prospecting in WA years ago.
Great video

Holcomb is a pretty place, but I've not been there since I was a teenager more than 40 years ago.
Ouch the price 😪 I’m new to hobby does a novice ever find enough gold to make it worth that kind of investment? (ROI)
Richard Billin , one can on occasion buy a used detector that still has factory warranty left on it. I picked one up for 1\ 2 the price of MSRP and it still had a year left on the warranty. Some folks buy one and loose interest quickly if not finding good gold right away.

So how I found which one that ?
Aney test to decided that which one that sir ?

Chris Ralph, Professional Prospector great!! I’ll set up the notification can’t wait to read it
i have a eqiunox 800 , will it work on finding gold in the mountains??
Yes.
Are there less gold on islands or more. What is the chance
That all depends on which islands. Some have gold some do not.
Hey Chris, I have another question for the Professional Prospector. This SDC 2300 vs the Equinox 800. Which would you prefer for gold and or which would you prefer for all round metal detecting? Also great job on your book. I am learning SOO much. Thank You for that also!!!
Different technologies, like asking to compare apples and oranges.

Hey Chris what about micro Gold that they used cyanide on you know a way to get this gold ?
There are alternatives to cyanide and I will be doing some videos on these other chemicals soon.
I guess I need someone to help me with set up of the 2300. Never have any luck with it. The Gold Monster is the machine I am having some luck with. Anyway good job.....
The SDC has been very productive for me, but there are spots where one is a better choice than the other - it just depends on the spot.
I have both an equinox and an SDC 2300. 95% of the time I use the equinox but when I get an area with gold and clean it out with the equinox I then move to the SDC , that is when I pull multi gram nuggets that were invisible to the equinox.
Hi Chris, I live in Bishop Ca and my boyfriend and I would like to ask you a few questions. Is there another way of contacting you?
See my answer to this same question asked by you on another video.

You need a camera partner. Preferably one that you can trust and won't try to highjack your finds.
Going to be Making a few videos soon with Bill Southern of Nugget Shooter Journals. Right now my camera partner is a tripod.
