I recently noticed that the candles point towards the Redling Devices. So, you can just stand behind the orb, aim towards the candle and you should find them.
Massive tip stay back and the orb stops disappearing. I get closer shows more area but back up a step or two instead of constantly having to wait for it to come back is much faster.

yeah, video is quite old! even the candles are an indicator on where to look for the fetishes.
