As a writer, I can't express how much I appreciate that Neil credits the writers every single time someone talks about how great a character Astarion is. He was absolutely elemental in how great a character Astarion is, but deep down at the core, it always is the writers! It's so right!
I love this too. He appreciates everyone so much, and writers are vital to making the characters what they are
I just want Amelia Tyler to read me bedtime stories.
Dude, me too. That narrator voice is so good.
Dark Urge narration style ? 😄😉
does she do audio books or podcasts?? because i need her to
I'd subscribe to BetterSleep for that
I'll PAY for her to narrate my life's summary at my funeral....
"I wAs RiGhT tHeRe!"
That caught me off guard, lol.
That's very brave of Neil to talk about his past that co-insides with Astarion's. Unfortunatly there are too many of us who relate and we praise him for doing a wonderful job portraying Astarion's story.
i love so much how andrew wincott sounds like a bbc radio host when talking but he was able to make raphael's voice so saucy and devilish. he deserved that bafta for sure
I am 62 years old and have played games for decades, but BG3 tops them all, the actors, the writing and all the work that has been put in to this game. Its just amazing. I wonder if there ever will be a game like this again.
I was in the front row of the audience for this and the intensity of that 'Four naan' was smoldering.
But was it Disco Naan?
Finally, the sad-little-life-Jane moment is on Bafta's official channel. Can we nominate Neil again just for that impeccable delivery?
No, but honestly it lives rent free in my head now 😭
The clips at the beginning are made so much better by imagining the cast writhing in pain watching themselves, lmao
What's amazing is that there's so little difference between the auditions and the performances. They absolutely nailed it from the start.
@@jonathanhibberd9983 Absolutely. It was some brilliant casting.
I love how these talented actors are getting the same recognition now as screen or theater actors. Voice actors are still actors and the acting in videogames has grown soo much in quality the last couple of decades. With performance capture, it has become even more like theater and screen acting at the same time. It's an industry I love and have a huge respect for.
This is 10000% the best thing on the internet to watch today. That was glorious
Amelia, release more narrator outtakes, they're so good.
The one about dark eyes and fangs made me feel things 😰
Tracy has a fantastic sense of humour, haven't seen her as much as some of the other cast but she's hilarious 😂
They were already so good at the characters even during auditions!
Love Ali Plumb's interviews with film actors. Glad he hosted this.
"Bing Bong" nice High Rollers callback.
@caffedinator5584 Not just a callback, apparently if you romance Shadowheart, you can now get a line in the Epilogue where she mentions the two of you meeting an imp named Bing Bong, so Bing Bong is officially canon! 😊
neil's last line -- that's the astarion we know and love!
amelia's voice is unreal. i wonder if they're talking about astarion in her last line? or someone else?
omg andrew's last line is almost exactly like how it is in the game, sooooo well done. gave me chills
everyone is so freaking amazing!!
Raphael has made an appearance to our party in our Gate D&D Campaign. I did my first playthrough of BG3 with our DM and he loved it so I was so happy to meet Raphael in our campaign. Had to pretend not to know him but always a pleasure or not lol
Something tells me Amelia Tyler would love the hell out of Disco Elysium.
15:24 was not ready for this to be how I found out that Andrew Wincott also played Haarlep
The clone of Raphael has the same voice actor as Raphael no way????? 😱😱😱
I don't know what's better, how earnestly he tells the story or how Neil nearly has an aneurysm from trying not to laugh.
I feel really lucky that I had the opportuntiy to have Neil & Amelia as guests on my podcast last year around the time when the full version of the game was out. Knowing they gave so much into these characters with their story, funny moments or even intimate moments, its amazing how much these characters have resonated with everyone who have played the game
Delighted to find out Amelia's apparently a Discworld fan. Had a soft spot for those books ever since I first stumbled across them, and one of the reasons I love BG3's writing is that it gives me that same feeling-- managing to find humor even when things look darkest.
Its hilarious that Amelia has a psychological background and she narrates a DM for murderhobos
Those last 5 minutes gave me life! Great people and audience all around
I would have died to hear Astarion say the "If my grandmother had wheels, she would have been a bike" line XDDD
Cannot wait for Original Sin 3 to have Amelia Tyler as an origin character
that character would have the THICCEST plot armor of all time... the plot IS her armor omg
@@shimomiaizo it has been indicated that her OS2 character Malady would be an origin character in OS3
32:00 I was anticipating "Well, excuse me, Princess!" Would have been wonderful.
I always took Jaheira for granted in Act 2.......... One day I said "I am going to finish this game" (Mind you at that point I had 1k hours on just act 1 and 2, never daring to finish act 3 or got too overwhelmed) ...... I noticed many revolved around Jaheira, so I permanently used her......... In the end I cried a lot at her story. While others made me emotional too, Jaheira really tugged my heartstring. She became someone very special to me. (I never played BG1 or BG2 or any D&D before) Now my favourite will forever be Jaheira. The way they shifted her attitude from act 2 to act 3 is.... I have no words. She is so sassy and I LOVE her attitude. I wish I had a friend like her in RL. I speak more of Jaheira's character, but it's the voice acting, the way she speaks, talks, evolves as a human and Tracy has become my favourite. I have not known any of this cast. And I love every single one of their work.
Haarlep commentary gave me bellyache. That was too funny. Poor Raphael actor
I love Andrew Wincott’s encouragement to keep being creative. It has been so inspiring to see the incredible creative energy within the Bg3 community. Being able to explore the art and writing of this community has been so uplifting, and even more so because of the supportive feedback and encouragement the community gives each other. It is a truly wholesome experience. I know it has a lasting impact on so many people in finding confidence in themselves as creators while experiencing a sense of belonging.
This was amazing and way to short! I could listen to them for hours😍😭
Love this cast, but Karlach has my soul! Samantha Béart you own my soul take me to the Nine Hells! TO Averenus we go!!!
Wow Jaheira did not skip arm day!
Since BG3 I've become such a huge fan of boys for their insanely amazing passionate voice and acting skills. They made the game... But... I've been playing Divinity 1,2.... and I can tell... oh my Lord... Please people... please... I'm begging y'all to just throw all flowers and all love to Tracy Wiles and Amelia Tyler. God, those ladies have been MVP carries of Larion forever. I am legit praying for those two for their insane talents, passion, and love for what Larian Studio does. . Big massive thank you to Tracy and Amelia for being awesome at what they do. ( P.S. The rest of the BG# cast who is not present in this video and even other voice actors like Emperor n basic TAV voice actors also deserve big applause)
onlybears 😭😭😭😭😭
The game at the end was mind breaking 🤯 Bravo to the BG3 cast and thank you Ali Plumb for being a gracious moderator ❤
Haha!!😂😂 Those lines readings at the end were the best!!
Fiiiine I'll play BG3 again
I loved it, thank you very much for uploading it. I love them all but Neil is still my favourite, when he turns into Astarion it's wonderful.
I love these guys...they do great work.
(but expertly moderated) 😭
I love these guys so much
ahh how i wish she read the skyrim line in her BG3 narrator voice. i think she did but it wasn't as calm and "dark" as she does in the game
It's not the same, but when I'm on a customer service call, I find I move my whole body while speaking. I feel it allows you to come across as 'human'.
Amelia Tyler is 🔥
I am hoping they are SO good that we get to go into Avernus as a DLC and do some things after to get really at the heart of things in their story...
the interviewer is awesome!
Ameila Tyler pls narrate my life, thank you!
I need to finish this game. 3 of the cast will be at NYCC!
i literally dream that im in Baldur's gate almost every night lmao
Everybody only talking about Neil like he was the only one there lol
DONT SAY GOODBYE TO THE STORY! ADD MOREEEEE
❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤
Out of body experience
ffs moderator relax
He is always a crazy fan boy with most of his interviews.
Leave him alone. He's adorable.
Its adorable, he represents the fan base in a way and kind of puts empathis on the value of this kind of interview/video!
idk what you mean. he was mostly playing off of what the actors were comfortable saying and talking about, really. ali is a great interviewer, keeps the conversations feeling homely but professional, even with his enthusiasm of being a fan of the game. he's done awesome interviews with the cast for house of the dragon too, and his love for the series also shines through in those.
