With my twins, they always had their own paper-BUT on Christmas morning, I’d hide a 6” square swatch with their name on it. They have to find the swatch before opening gifts bc they didn’t know whose was whose. (Gives us parents time to get some coffee going ❤) They’re 19 now & we still do it!

When our five were young, I wrapped their gifts in their own different paper. Before that, the older kids would shake them and figure out what was in them before we got to the tree. I also cut out a swatch and glued it to school paper with their name next to it. That way little ones recognized their name and their gifts. They are between 30 and 50 now, and they still get their own paper (so do the extended family). Ruth in Illinois. Merry Christmas early!

I wrap my existing pillows with large scarfs when I want to change out my look. Thrift stores are forever full on them. Cheaper then new pillows and you can add a coordinating blanket/ throw and you can find those fairly inexpensive anywhere you shop.

To keep from wasting so much wrapping paper by cutting off too much is take your gift and cut off only enough to wrap around the gift. Then pull up one end to just the top of the end and cut the other end about an inch past that end. Then center the package on the wrapping paper and there should be just the right amount of paper with no waste.

An even less expensive way to dress up the craft paper wrapping - use cookie cutters dipped in craft paint. The paint doesn't stick too badly if you keep a little dish of water to put them in as you finish using each one. You can also use the cookie cutters as templates to mark cheap sponges for cutting out. The spacey look of the paint from the sponge is really cute.

I have done the gift wrap hack (1 pattern per kid) the last few years now. I do it so they aren't trying to find their gifts & guess what it is. It has worked great! Then I put a small piece of their paper in the bottom of their stocking so once the stocking is looked through they can start opening gifts.

Making bows is trial and error. The most important thing is how does it look to you? I like them fluffy. At the end, I squish all the loops toward the front. They will fall back and be in a perfect place.

We have been doing the different color paper for each person for years ❤ We also use a different color for gifts from grandparents or aunts or friends. This way our kids know which gifts are from whom. We have 5 kids and they have autism and it helps a lot. We also number the gifts so they can go search under the tree for their color and number order. This way expectations are managed for autism. This way they get the same level gifts at the same time. So if one got socks..they get socks together or an equal gift at the same time. It is hard for young spectrum children to see a sibling get a stuffed animal when they get new socks at the same time. It's a lot of work but I keep a notebook and cut out a square of their color paper and glue it next to each kids name and number the listed gifts next to each name and paper square. 💖

When you do your stockings you can get small plastic ornaments fill with small magnets in the toes. Then you can add your garland hot glue magnets from harbor freight and the magnets 🧲 where the toes meet and waahlaa they’ll stay in place till its time to fill
Another option is to take small stuffed animal for each putting a bow with long tails hanging 1/2 out then when you fill them put them sitting above them on the garland. This helps lil ones who cant read to know whoooo is whooooos 🎄🤶🏻🎄

Caution about smart plugs. There was a post of how someone’s dog became extremely ill due to the noise frequency the smart plugs gave off. Whenever the dog was out of the house, he seemed fine and did not want to go back inside. But once back inside, he was ill again. And the plugs were the newest thing introduced into the home. Just keep that in mind if your pets do start to act weird or become ill.

For the gift soap, tie q little tag with the refill instruction on the back, and make a shoelace bow instead of cuttings

Love the foaming soap... can you use any kind of handsoap?

To knock off the red warning light, (time to replace the filter) you press & hold the on/off button for 3 seconds, (count 1, 2, & on 3 lift your finger off). The red light will go out/off.
N.B. I have the Levoit mini, I gently vacuum the air purifier & filter, (use low setting, or use a mini computer vacuum cleaner) - but don't rub/brush the folds of the filter. I also tap it & dry dust it regularly with a microfibre cloth very carefully. - But always switch off the air purifier first, (or pull the electrical lead out at the back). -
I hope that I've helped someone.
