Homeboy making me think. I used to run with dudes like this. I’ve overdosed 4x at least where Narcan was the only thing that saved my life. Nearly died many times from that lifestyle. Shot at, stabbed, hunted by cartel runners, poisoned, beaten...it’s been a rough ride. 4 years clean. I’m a miracle that I recognize every day with so much gratitude it hurts.

Maybe you should look at him at 7am the next morning when he is hiding in the darkness, paranoid and coming down from the high. Maybe you would have a different view then. Then the bitch shouldn't have adopted me. I'm an educated, 32-year-old with a profession, education, and a roof over my head. They adopted me when I was a baby.
My bio dad died. My bio mother was not mentally fit to be a mother. Siblings had an issue with their foster parents.
LOL. My adoptive mother is pure evil. EVERYONE in my adoptive family knows this. I don't love her anymore. This is permanent--at least when you have parents with NPD.
...and that part where hes telling about getting his jaw broke, and he goes to ask "my fam" for help in the alley way, and all the lighters are clicking on and he does the female voices, and male voices.. I can picture the scene and emotion in my head! He's such a gifted story teller. Truly. And then he talks about walking to the hospital, smoking crack...poor guy. All these stories hes had to stare straight in the face, pain and fear. Hes had to tough up and walk through it. For this he inevitebly carries strength and experience. Best wishes to Spooky, I hope he can relax once in a while. The streets are mean.
The part when he described the lighters and the jaw etc was great storytelling. Imagery was vivid

I have a great deal of respect for this man. He's been through a lot and it's obvious every time he tells you part of his story, he gets so emotional and expressive. I can see he is definitely traumatized. Good on him for turning his life around.

Tragic how many addicts can understand and elucidate on their addictions but their still overcome by the disease.
It's hell. I wish I would have never tried that shit.
This is true for a lot of addicts they know how to get clean they just don't want to take the steps cause it's much easier to get high then it is to go thru the steps to get clean....
Well, as a mother of a heroin substance abuser I never understood until I saw it first hand. The drug takes over your dopamine receptors and physically changes your brain so you crave it. When my son told me he dreamed of it, I knew it was MORE than a choice. It was a compulsion that you would sell your soul for. Unfortunately, my son did not make it. He passed at 21. He was a smart kid, in the gifted program and went to college for engineering. But, all it takes is one mistake when you are young before the adult brain has a chance. He is missed everyday

@@LimoneneDaddy No, I think its more about not knowing how to deal, with life, once clean. This requires an awareness of worth, to others. Its almost like prisoners and how they rarely cope with life's expectations, once released. They purposefully go back. Being free is their dream, but coping requires self 💘.

That testimony he shared from his comma was scary.... he saw everyone grinding their teeth away, and in the flesh his mother and auntie see him keeo doing the same thing while in comma.... god is real and works in perfect ways. We are dying to live but living to die! I have my own reasons or testimony where my faith and love for god is infinite times greater. I'm not a very handsome guy but when I was single I learned early on alot about women and what it took once a I was able to conversate with one that I know wouldn't normally be her cup of tea. Interesting what a woman will be attracted to when she comes across or is put in a particular circumstance. Mostly has to do with chance. If spooky approached you or tried messaging you online and you didn't know anything about him 9 times out of 10 he wouldn't get a chance due to our psychological reasons of how we judge

He's cheated death the same amount of times& wonders why he's still here. He's so unique & strong. His energy is powerful. He's wise beyond his years, even through his pain from regret.

Such a unique and interesting story telling style. Its like he gives you snippets and glimpses of his memories but lets you reconstruct the full thing for your self. I've never been into poetry but this gives me a little better appreciation of that form and why people might enjoy it.

Edit: also….. you deserve to have healthy people around you. Yes, God is not done with him. The important thing is that God is telling us all through him what life is like in Hell. Mark, what you do by interviewing people shows us about the struggles people go through, but I believe you are God's tool to show us what this life is all about.

Edit: I don't know if this is helpful in any way, but I realized something about myself the other day. I've fucked up in life, and I am on the side of the people who condemn me for it because I know what I did and how I acted was wrong beyond doubt. I split myself psychologically, and existed as a ghost with the only purpose of being alive to be punished for my past deeds - I knew there was no justice in the world, so I sabotaged, hurt and mistreated myself so that in a way there was justice for the people I hurt. I didn't realize I was divided against myself because I rejected myself for who I had been. I've tried to fix things and somehow I have answers, compassion and serenity for people whose pain I recognize to be similar to mine, I've tried to help them. It's not that I can love myself yet, I don't know what that is. But after a long time I've come to see the part of me who I reject in a similar way, the poorest beggar in need of my own kindness. Come together Spooky, I really love you, we can do it.

I can't imagine living with the emotional pain of that level of betrayal by someone you love, almost killed and you son taken away. Crazy, crazy woman. She's got or has had some horrible things coming her way.

Spooky, you sound so ready to give it up, you are an awesome honest guy, you can help others, you are helping others right now, I can totally picture you happy and clean and free.
He’s too smart for his own good. That is, he’s too self-aware to thrive in his environment and social scene without feeling all the ambient negativity. The anxiety and shame he feels is palpable in this interview, and I feel bad for him. I hope he finds peace somehow.
