I MADE A SILL! BUT WHERE IS THE WINDOW? - DIY Building in Portugal

  • This video is packed with loads of fun stuff but the main event is me finally finishing my window sill and getting it in place on my DIY barn conversion in Portugal. It's a big deal, folks, and I couldn't be happier with the result!
But before we get to the window sill excitement, I'll be sharing a fun visit with friends, a mushroom outing, some chipping and burning, a trip to the wood yard, and prepping my chilli plants for the cold weather.
It's a good one, I hope you like it! Thanks for watching!

Last winter you had the beautiful accent wall to look at, this year you can look out a window! 🙌 So exciting. Do you have a seating situation for “out the window” viewing? Maybe a hammock chair hanging from the mezzanine?

Hey Kirsty! What a great post! It's nice to get the branches taken care of and get some mulch for your garden. Looking for mushrooms is a really popular thing to do in the Mediterranean. It's a lot of fun, especially if you have an expert along and can safely cook up what you find. Yum! Your lemon tree looks really healthy. I guess there are more lemon products to be made. And Woo Hoo! you're ready for the window. The sill is gorgeous. I hope it comes soon. Your little house is going to look so good when the interior walls are finished and with the new window, you'll have so much to look at, inside and out. Good luck with getting your window and the wood for your tool shed. I hope you have a great week. Angela

Another job well done and I hope the fella doing your window doesn’t leave you high and dry .
You got a lot of mulch for your garden beds and that chipper what a god sent that is one piece of machinery that is needed when you have so many trees on your property.
It’s great that you have a good circle of friends that are able to lend a hand when you need them .
Great tour around the timber yard that’s something we don’t get to see every day .
Where I used to live they would cut down trees and chip them up and I thought what a shame when the could have been milled to put to better use .
Look forward to seeing the progress in the next video.
