..... Looks like things are coming together very nicely 👍.... I really used to love this time of year... I’d be finished or just about finished with whatever car / truck project that I slaved on over the winter and be out driving and testing, as well as absolutely loving testing the drivability of my car...I really really miss laying serious rubber , and the feeling of all the power and torque would put a grin on my face like nothing else ..... New wiring harnesses are a beautiful thing... I have used Painless Wiring on quite a few vehicles and I would highly recommend them to anyone.. I haven’t used them in the past 3ish years or so, but they would make custom changes to any harness you wanted or ordered.... Probably one of the better upgrades IMO because a new quality harness has always made the vehicle run and operate better, and also seems to make everything function better.... Dakota makes a great dash/ cluster.. I’ve never had problems or even heard anyone complain about them ever... That set up will last forever👍.... they are well worth the money.... I think I have a brandy new line lock kit, still in the wrapper with everything you need to 100% hook it up... I bought it but unfortunately never got to install it, so you can have it if you want it... I actually might have some other stuff you could have if you think it’s something you would use, like a duel feed fuel line for Holley Double Pumper, maybe some other stuff.... I just get really bummed out when I look at them anyway, so I’d rather see them being used and enjoyed by someone who could use them... Let me know dude... 👍🇺🇸

That's really nice of you to offer your parts. With 500hp I don't think we need a line lock to spin the tires. I made a custom dual feed for my Holley so I could fit a fuel pressure gauge and clear the alternator. We have been replacing the wiring harnesses with factory type. I know you can get aftermarket complete harnesses but I don't feel we need one. We aren't adding all kinds of accessories or changing that much. I hope we can get this car put back together for the good weather. Right now the weather is terrible here. There was snow flurries and 50mph gusts yesterday. I am ready for summer.

I hope that "goo" was a potting compound, 2-part stuff. If so, it is good stuff. We use it in the mining industry for protection of electronics components from vibration and moisture.

I don't know exactly what it is but it seems to skin over but not get hard.

@@mossman381 if it doesn't get hard overnight, it's bad, possibly out of date . If that happens, it needs to be redone. It can usually be removed with isopropyl alcohol, but it's a royal pain.

OMG...... $1,500.00 for that instrument cluster. That's insane.

It is a lot but you get what you pay for. Dakota Digital is pretty much the best out there. I can't wait to get this all together again.
