No kidding! When you compare them to many of the “look at me” couples they seem such genuine lovely people who strike me as being true to themselves. No Pretense here! Most certainly free from any drama unlike the build in (Devon?) with the pair who decided against an architect, or engineers for a dragon sketching so called “spiritual healer.” Yes…. I have to agree with you there
What a gorgeous location, love Wales when you can see it. Love the house, admire the couple..."you could sell it says Kevin and double your money" "but what could you buy with it, you cant buy heritage, family history". Those builders were to be commended too. I wonder 21 years down the track if they ARE still living there and did they raise their family there..be interesting to know....anyone know???? No money for furniture...been there done that..it all comes in the end as gifts or when you can afford it....well done guys. cheers from Western Australia in 2022
What a project! That is one brave couple! Delightful people. If they didn't have a connection to the land before they started on their restoration, they will when they finish, with all the blood, sweat and tears they've put into their own home. As soon as the house is habitable, though, they've really got to start improving the driveway so it doesn't swallow any more cars. That site is to die for!
wonderful.. i'm really impressed.. over the first shock, to see the ruins.. to see the first walls.. it's so fantastic and i was hypnotisised.. this passion and power.. there are not the right words, to describe.. it's amazing.. such amazing..
Not even to the half-way point of the episode and I can't help but keep wondering if someone is going to do some landscaping to prevent flooding and ease other potential issues!?! Also...Wind turbines and discreet solar along with some sorta hidden cistern would be another HARD push in my estimation. 🤔 The weather in that part of Wales is notorious! Channeling runoff water and winds for property protection and useful resources....Definite logistical important aspects!
I admire them , I would never do it , I take my hat off to them, even when it's finished they will still have to battle the elements and struggle with water and warmth, a very brave, sweet young couple!
Lovely to look at but solid walls without insulation, floors without insulation, it will cost a fortune to heat. I guess I’m going soft as 20 years ago I would have relished living there with all those wonderful views and away from neighbours that wind you up one way or another……..hmm, perhaps I would live there after all 😂!
No doubt , Kevin was right to have questioned the feasibility of completely rebuilding the stone cottage . But his constant negativity became annoying after a while . .
This couple is about the most delightful on this whole show, Corrina is a gem. And this place...OMG what an amazing place to live

Oh to be young again, and seeing life through such dreamy eyes.
Kudos to the two the builders, men with a true sense of humour, wish they could do my reno
I've watched most episodes of Grand Designs and this is one of my most memorable. So lovely to see it again. 🇨🇦.

One of my best episodes...I love evey moment of it.. what a lovely couple. Thumbs up to both of them
Very enjoyable episode, and such a likeable couple.

Absolutely loved this episode- nothing really phased them 👏
People in Britain think that a house is desolate and remote if it's a half hour drive from the shops and a kilometre of dirt road.
My kind of home. Rustic. Simple. Would have loved to see it all finished.
One of my favourite episodes…it must be the romance of it! A wonderful story, I hope this lovely couple are happy…joyful even. Xox ❤

Loved it. So glad to see a house done the way it would have when first built. The beams and slab floors were exquisite.
What magnificent people and their builders too. This is what GD should be all about.
Beautiful location but I've lived in an old stone house for 4 years and I swear it was impossible to heat.
It baffles me why they didn't dig a trench/ditch to drain the water away from the house!
.

They need to did a trench to take the water away from the house!
Great build, though, I can't help to notice the impressive tool on display from about 32:30...
Foot and mouth, what a blast from the past
Thank you
Wonderful

I love the opening music
Would love to know if they are still there?
Absolutely love it❤
Grand designs- not showing finished projects since Season 2.
True
Thanks for the heads up, I'll give it a pass with a thumbs down 👎👎
How sad! Foot and mouth vs co-vid. Which is the winner? I hope this lovely couple is.
bravo!
Please show the finished Cottage. Was there a revisited episode? How are Aiden and Corrina in 2022?
Yes, I would love to hear how they are doing after 21 years!
They revisited in 2015! Season 4 episode 2 if I’m not mistaken.
Does anybody know if they ever finished it?
This one makes you have a lot of British pride, probably even more so if you’re British
ARE WE GOING TO SEE THE FINNISHED HOME , A LOT OF THESE THEY DON'T SHOW THE FINNISHED HOUSE.
UPDATE??
Whatever drugs, they’re doing to keep them positive I want some😅
PLEASE
Had to stop watching. I don't care how great the view is - the insanity of building, maintaining, living here is not something I want to see.
No doubt , Kevin was right to have questioned the feasibility of completely rebuilding the stone cottage .
But his constant negativity became annoying after a while .
.
Another dark stone house.
Lousy quality!
