Is it me or does Australia produce some of the most amazing vocalists in the world on these types of shows..
PLEASE remove blocking from the competition. This is an artist's shot at a successful career. Choosing their coach is CRITICAL in the process. This should not be a part of the 'game'. Please allow them the privilege of choosing their coach. They have taken the bold step to put themselves out their on this stage.

I agree to disagree. But I do think the blocking shouldn't be allowed at this point of the audition. The block should only be allowed at the chair turn.

She is the most professional artist on Jason's team, she should have made it to the semi-finals, I will never forgive Jason for eliminating her too early 😢

@@liz3424i feel like rita is one of the best coaches. Like her song choices are always immaculate and she also seems to play therapist and raises her singers confidence etc. like i feel like she brings her singers what they need.

WOW what a voice..dont forget this is the one judges choice and he has his mind set on one type of singer...ive never got on with the judge chooseing the songs and makeing the decisions
on who goes throught what a silly way of choosing the winner..
Exactly, I’m ok with the judges choosing which song they think the singers would be able to pull off well, but I kinda wish they could put forward some of their own ideas before the judge makes their final choice. And I really wish there was a different method for eliminations

Calista is a total package. She should've been Tarryn's tough opponent. Although Tarryn has an epic voice, Calista's singing prowess plus her superstar appeal makes her a better choice for me.
This show finds an amazing number of world-class singers. Calista is one of those singers.

Huge mistake going with the coach who blocked the coach you really wanted. But then I don’t like the blocks at all.
Yeah I really hate the blocks, I feel like the singer should be able to choose whichever coach they want. I always feel so bad when I see someone who clearly really wanted to work with a specific coach just for them to get blocked
She was definitely a show girl from the moment she walked onto that stage.

Its ridiculous from jason to eliminate a singer for which he blocked another judge. Really a bad action. Looks like strategy. To take all the best singers and to get rid of the ones who are no more useful. Don't like It. Jason, you are not there to win!!! You are there to do your job! I hate the idea of blocking. It limits the artist in choosing someone that they feel could have helped them the most.
The way he framed his elimination, "...I feel they've reached their ceiling here on the voice" um... he couldn't be more from wrong with that one, so sad... she can do whatever Tarryn can do, and I love love me some Tarryn, but ceiling? C'mon Jason that's uncalled for...

she has a really good voice and I think should have made it through. what jason did was just unfair for the contestant and the fact that he blocked rita right after her audition was just disrespectful. An honest and loyal person would not have done that and would have respected the contestants decision. (like an adult should) I hope he gets fired from that show. Jason is just acting like a child, being self-absorbed, and being a brat with no heart or respect for others. I hope Calsita learned from this and knows better to not make those mistakes. it was also really dumb of her to pick jason. and it was all because he blocked rita well that just shows how honestity and loyalty doesn't exist anymore in this messed up generation of 2023.

For me Jason was absolutely unfair. Blocking the other coaches is so infantile, (I know that they have that chance, but a honest person wouldn't do that). I believe in honesty, loyalty and something that no longer exist... respect. He showed that he is just a kid, because he did it when Rita started talking. Bad move, but even worse was the stupidity of Calista choosing him instead of Jesse, or even Guy, and she paid for that unclever choice. Next time maybe she'll understand, sorry.
Theres no Jesse, the coaches were Jason, Rita, Jess and Guy.

How do they block judges after they have turned? Not a fan of the block but to be able to use it after turning seems wrong.
Maree did have a tendency to let her high notes get a little screechy, Calista didn't. I think it was a matter of experience. They were both good but Calista was better.

Jason has this persistent idea of a "Classical/musical" type of singer. As someone who has sang both oepra and classical, the chesty belting mix way calista sings is much harder than the way more balanced mixing like how opera sings. Calista is more suited to pop and radio music as shows by similar singers like tori Kelly, Adele, Christiana, jessi J etc.. . We already have Ben Platt to show that while beautiful, pop types of music don't translate well to Broadway or opera trained voices. He made a wrong choice for me.

I mean, you can clearly see Rita and Calista were meant for each other. The disappointment in both when Whackson Don't Rula hit the block button is just so obvious. The Voice should really don't let judges block once the blind audition is finished. And all that for what? Sometimes you just have to hate the american competitiveness that just becomes greed.
