Great equation for making wind usefull. Although i think it would make more sense if you explained the mass part of the equation as a mass flow rate this would explain the power vs energy better and why its v^3 in the power equation. E/time = Power = 1/2 (density of air × area swept x flow rate of air(wind speed)) x wind speed^2 . This looks more like the equation Power= mass * velocity^2) / 2t
But why is it v^3 physically? Very unintuitive. It should be kg/m (mass per linear meter) * m/s (linear meter flowing per second) = mass/time. The cube is a distraction and is merely book keeping/organization, right?
The V3 is because you combined terms. The mass in .5mv2 is calculated given the rate at which the air passes through the wind turbine. It's not like measuring a fixed quantity of air (although you could do this). The mass is calculated from an amount of air passing through the area of the turbine blades over a length of time. This is why if you look at mass as a mass flow rate then you can separate the velocity of the air from the V3 and it looks like the simplified formula E= .5 (mass flow rate) v2.
Pi x r^2 x density is not equal to mass! To get mass you need to have volume x density. To get volume (a cylinder of air) you multiply area (Pi r^2) x density x h (m/s). That is why you have (m/s) ^3 on the bottom.
EOH(equivalent operating hour) Wich factor used in account for HFO operating hours Can you explain to me what all these readings mean? Or if there is a file, can you send it to me?
Can you help me, for below mentioned questions? i need answer please Q 1-What is the present value of the payment cost made to decommission the wind farm (in € and answer as an absolute value)? Q 2-What is the present value of all the costs (in € and answer as an absolute value)? Q 3 -What is the levellised annual cost (in €/year and answer as an absolute value)? Q 4-What is the levellised cost of energy (LCoE) in €c/kWh and answer as an absolute value?
The algebraic breakup in 4:44 doesn't make any sense, ρ * π * r² ha units of [mass / m] not just mass. On the other side in one equation you have v² and in the other one you have v³.
Can someone please explain why a house-wind-turbine looses efficiency (slows down) when energy demand is increased (ie: a microwave is used?). What is that called? Thanks.

You got a great voice. Clear and non flirtatious like the open ai bot voices. Easy to focus on the subject. Great explanation. Thanks

Thanks for your posting. But be better please attach with some equation interns of calculation process

Very clear explanation.
what about Betz limit?
What is the 1/2 for??
how is the formula used for vawt?
Thanks a lot!!

Can you show the conversion of kg - m^2/s^3 to Watts?
Thank you Ma'am😊😊
at wind speed of 10mph ,20 mph. 30 mph, 40mph, etc what is the kenetic power in kwh
thank you so much. this made the understanding so much clear. sustainable energy for the future!!
It's simple. Just go to INPLIX page and make it yourself.

I'm a little confused here. Doesn't Cp already includes electrical and mechanical efficiencies of the turbine?
Nice explanation dear,Thank you
