as the son of a teacher i have to say how good is this guy. Some people are good teachers but their voice is hard to listen to. this Gent was blessed that he is knowledgeable on the subject he is teaching and has a voice easy to listen to. Showed this to my mother who is the teacher and she said the same thing. learned alot so when i get into school full time i will be ahead of the curve.
I can't think you enough! Student pilot here. I am given so much information while in the plane, I have a herd time remembering everthing. So much easier when in a relaxed setting.
This is an EXCELLENT presentation done in the stlye of an effective instructor. He focused exactly on the functionalities in the context of a flight instead of just buttonology. Never knew the audio panel could do so many things. Nice job! Thanks!
Excellent tutorial. So helpful. Better to learn all this on the ground than in the air. Thanks for creating and sharing it! (Would love a more in-depth tutorial on the bluetooth functionality, both for the audio panel and the G1000.)
Tener, great explanation and tutoring! Congrats! You saved us from a lot of boring studyig from the manual. Great instructor and clear English for the non-native speakers.
As a "Rusty Pilot" who hasn't flown since before Tanner was born, this was a very good understandable overview of the G1000 Audio Panel. Tanner did a great job keeping things simple, now the G1000 isn't so "scary." If all goes well, I'll have my Special Issuance 3rd Class Medical sometime this fall and resume flying (after some time with CFI) So much has changed on the avionics front from my all analog days, but in a good way. I'm looking forward to some TAA time.
got my ppl in 1978 flewfor a while maybe 140 hours total quit 81 probably I think I will start from scratch and begin like I never flew earliar or does anyone think I am too old to begin flying 65 years ols perfect physically eyes need cataract surgery
Awesome video! This helped a lot. I’ve been putting off trying to figure out this audio panel. Very interesting that you have to have the CDI selected to get the NAV ID audio. I never noticed the nave frequency tuning green

Thank you very much. I’ve been flying G1000 for a while, and some of these features were confusing at times. You’re a great instructor, thanks.
This video couldn’t come at a better time as I switch into a G1000 this week!
Agree with others, nice, clear explanations for these functions; appreciate having someone walk through this
Great video but wish you had a close up camera shot of the picture 's of the buttons you were describing describing.
Hi. How do I manual squelch the COM frequencies rather than the pilot/co-pilot/passengers? Thanks for the informative video by the way!

You're a great instructor. Very knowledgeable. Thank you for sharing this info on the audio panel of the G1000.
I bought Max Trescott's G1000 book, which is great, but there's nothing like seeing it done on video. Super informative!

Great briefing on the functionality of the G1000. Made my day easier, as I’m better prepared for my lesson 👍

If you hold the flip-flop is it switches to 121.5 or the emergency frequency.
Amazing video. Clear instruction and walkthrough of some less intuitive features.
Do you have a video on some of the MAP settings on the pages of the MFD ??
Good clear voice. Sounds like Mr. Levenstein from American Pie
Great video, thank you
