One of the greatest female voices ever showcased on the planet. This wonderful lady sang like an angel from 1969 to 1983. Her brother Richard was also amazing to recognize his sister's vocal talent and to create a world of music which allowed the everyone to enjoy in a timeless style. Thanks !!!

Her vocals are out of this world. I wish we had more vocals that solid today.

This concert never gets old, is always fresh. Hard to believe this concert is 36 years old, but it is, my how time flys. Richard, I am so proud of you, I'm sure that Karen is smiling down at you. You have carried the Carpenters torch well. I wish I could give you a Life time achievement award for all that you do! And yes, Karen was a Marvolus Soul, but so are you. Karen was a precious gift, a borrowed Angel, for the time she had with us she made millions of people Happy, What a beautiful spirit

The incredibly STRONG vibration of fragile artistic genius is SO tangible from her performance you must be made of stone to not be moved.

Voice of an Angel, Eyes of God. This is my favorite concert of all time, I was 5 years old & to this day I have never seen anything even close that could top the Talent of Karen & Richard. Their band was second to none, & the stage communication was tremendous. They were having a great time doing what they enjoyed doing. We recently lost guitarist Tony Peluso in early June I was shocked to hear this, rest well my brother. Richard, Doug Strawn & all Thank You for being such an inspiration!!!

Absolutely amazing! What a band! I always read that they were stellar in concert but never heard till now. Peluso's solo on Goodbye to Love is priceless.

The Carpenters at the top of their game. Certainly for me one of the most memorable concerts of all time. I'm still wondering why this doesn't have at least five million views. It would be fair to say I'm partial to The Carpenters.

The overdubs are not missed when they performed live. In fact, it has more organic, soulful sound without the fluff. Karen was unsurpassed in her day, then and now.

it's odd, but even after thirty-five years of hearing that tune....when Karen gets to the 'ahhhhhhhhhhh- ahhh- ahhh-ahhh-ah' bit
-I absolutely turn to jelly and am not ashamed to admit it :d

dabebe39: What's your point? Some kids can accept older music to a limited degree as "oldies," after it has aqed enough to be taken as "oldies" rather than "so last year." The Carpenters are so awesome that many people are going to recognize their greatness, but that didn't stop them from totally and unrecoverably going out of style in 1979 when Sid Vicious seemed cool. Just like The Beatles made Neil Sedaka seem passé, as with Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Green Day, etc.

friggya: To whom are you speaking? When you say "your music," to whom are you referring? Whose music will fall into a dark hole in 20 years? It doesn't matter. The very fact that any epoch's music enjoys critical and popular success shows that that music has value to people. Pop music targets and appeals to a narrow age range, 13 to 25. That's just the way it is. If you are outside that range you won't like it and you're not supposed to like it. Nobody wants old 30 year old farts hanging around.

Love the Carpenters ! Karen looks haggard and skinny . At the beginning slightly out of tune ! She hardly goes out of tune . Looked like something's bothering her . Not her usual self . Just my observation .
