Lyrics [Ovid, Tristia, Book I, XI] Latin nam simul insidiis hominum pelagique laboro, et faciunt geminos ensis et unda metus. Ille meo uereor ne speret sanguine praedam, haec titulum nostrae mortis habere uelit. English for the snares of men and of the sea unite in causing my woe; the sword and the waves produce twin fears. The one may look for booty through my blood, I fear, whilst the other may wish to win renown from my death.
Reflecting back on the LoS trilogy, I think Malefor would have worked better as a Thanos-type antagonist. He clearly wants some kind of rebirth of the world through flames, given how he speaks of cleansing and Ignitus mentionning that the Destroyer would usher in a new world by destroying the old.
i feel the same way. perhaps if they showed scenes where Malefor felt some sort of remorse over some of his actions, or at least gave him a motive other than "destiny says so", he would have been a better villain. still, as he is he's pretty intimidating!
@@christopherbravo1813 I think it would help if he didnt act like a typical villain, if his whole attitude towards the "remake the world" thing was more nonchalant, like when spyro and cynder finally confront him hes just sort of chill and doesnt really seem to care much
@@PonderousEclectica4383 I agree with the whole "typical villain" thing, but considering that remaking the world is, in his eyes, the very reason for his own *existence,* then it wouldn't really make sense for him to not be invested at all.
its a shame they warped Malefors voice too much... I can understand though with the dark Aether but it made it pointless having Mark Hamill as voice for Malefor.
This really represents how much of a malevolent entity Malefor is...
A former prodigy, now forever known as The Dark Master.
TloS was deeply flawed from time and budget constraint but the OST especially shows the hidden gem it is with the atmosphere it achieves

I'm Sorry, "Booty"?
where did you get these lyrics? I’ve been trying to figure them out for ages...
@@danielpeek4245 Booty back then meant loot.
I think this could've easily been Malefor's theme! ;)

@GalacticHypernova Did the developers not have enough time?

Malefor: I'M FEELING LIKE A TOTAL BARNACLEHEAD
2:05 is where it’s at lol
Feels like as if I was in Barad dûr.
Georg Gross well Spyro is voiced by Elijah Wood so maybe that’s what they were going for?
Don't mind it it feels like the sith planet moraband from star wars
This should be the sith's song from star wars
Well, Malefor is voiced by Mark Hamill... xD
@@Archon3960 well that's kind of ironic because Mark Hamill played as Luke Skywalker and he did voice a Sith Lord named Darth Bane at some point
@@AdrianMartinez-en1nb I know, right? XD
