This is very awesome!! In the future when you want to hang a tapestry on the wall sew a long pocket on the back across the top edge of the tapestry which you can insert a curtain rod or a long dowel that the ends will rest in brackets attached to the wall so that you don't ruin your tapestry by putting nails through the material. Or you could make a wooden quilt hanger that mounts on the wall and the quilt top is sandwiched between the two long pieces of wood that are screwed together along the top edge in 2-4 spots which distribute the weight of the quilt or tapestry without harming the fabric.
Well, I was wondering what I was going to do with the almost 3 acres my Dad is leaving me in the west Texas countryside. But now I know. I'm going to be taking a page out of your book and make and old Hobbit themed Tavern. After 30 years of D & D gaming with my friends, this will make retiring out there so much fun. Thank you so much for posting your work on this project. ......candles. I'll need a lot of candles. So. Many. Candles.
I've been decorating my house in Orkcore home design. The Orkcore look is dominated by red, grey, and brown. Brown leather and (natural or lightly stained)brown wood. Grey concrete, grey stone, grey iron, occasionally grey stained wood(I've found that Aged Barrel Mw283 is the best shade of wood stain for this). Red leather, sedona red stained wood, a bit of red trim, red painted roof. Dark ages war/hunting weapons as decorations. Hide rugs. Raw materials and recycled materials such as barnwood. Exposed industrial elements such as large bolts where practical. Pointiness added everywhere it can be done safely, such as pyramid tacks & pointy plants.
The fact that you have an entire house full of essentially free solid wood furniture and random stuff to play with blows my mind. If you had to collect all of the furniture and accessories from scratch, you would probably be looking at years of work and thousands of dollars.
It’s actually surprising what people will dump on furniture pickup days in my neighborhood. I just found a really cool wooden table. It needs some work, but not much. I have also gotten mediaeval gear and pirate stuff for free or at very low cost. I think the main problem is that you got to have a house. Moving heavy furniture to my townhouse basement and then out if I move doesn’t sound super fun! :) I also have gotten a big desk like she has around 10:27 for free. Offices close and get rid of them.
I was thinking the exact same thing! It's a gold mine but only from an American perspective. Heavy, solid wood furniture is much more abundant in Europe than here. I wish I could live in France.
We almost bought a house with a VERY 70's rock fire place that would have been perfect for a tavern but alas, we were outbid. I believe the centre of the pitcher is for ice so that the drink isn't watered down but kept cold.
So Easily Changed to another fantasy in a short amount of time & work😅!!! I was thinking that she was going to paint all walls & mural some & plaster faux stone floor, but this gives enough & leaves some for the imagination❤!!! Easy to change into a dungeon or Halloween haunted house scene maybe even Santa's workshop😂!!! Nothing was majorly changed, it could even be dulled down to prep for sale😢!!! But with That Property, WHY Would You Ever Want To?❤!!!
Did you setup a games area, with targets for crossbow (like having a corn hole setup) I think that you have a very fun looking friend group! The next time you are stuck on something to create or get into a depressing funk, ask any of these friends if they want/need help with a design idea for their house or yard. It would get you onto a whole new canvas & release any built up pressure. I really Really Love your ideas & channel❤!!!
Immediately had to think of old Partykeller (party basements) in some german houses, lots of darker wood, build in booths and a bar with a tap for some beer
The reference to Chrisjen Avasarala lifted my heart so much, I can't wait for you to make your own versions of some of her magnificent wardrobe! PS: Remember that you don't have to choose between being the queen of the universe and a personal hooker, you can be both... Holy shit that looked like such a fun party!! I attended a charity event/banquet in Hobbiton many years ago (I live in NZ) and it was one of the best nights of my life. Your crew captured the feeling well! ❤🎉
I love it! But the noise of the wood moving across the floor reminds me of one of my favorite comedian's best routines. If you haven't seen Tig Notaro do her routine with a stool that makes a noise, it's so silly and so funny.
Have you considered faux painting the walls to make them either looking more like stone or half timber walls and the door to make it look like it is a medieval doorway?
What a fantastic project! I absolutely adore your accent, and the whimsy you create in the basement, especially the shot with the candles at the end was soooo amazing! Love it!
Looks great and like everyone had a great time! Oh and it still amazes me that all that wonderful stuff was left in the house! You're the best person to have gotten such bounty! As for the resale comments ignore them it's your place and it reflects you! People who can't see how amazingly brilliant your house is shouldn't view it!
Totally magical! SO well done! I know a lot of hard work and editing went in to making this, HARD WORK for sure! You are amazing! This looked so fun. It's like my dream. So good. Thank you so much for what you do!
this was so heartwarming to see! i realized that i was smiling the whole time watching the last part with your friends gathered around, all with the same passion and love for fantasy and it was just so wholesome! i wish i had friends like this.. the tavern is an awesome idea and you guys made it amazing! but just imagine how much more authentic and cool it will get with the years! perfect place for a cosy night of board games ♥

Avasarala for the win! Long live The Expanse! Anyway you’ve given us serious inspiration to turn our cellar into a hobbit hole! And Le Reveal was wonderful, how fun!!!!
I love love love this so much! I didn’t get a very good look at the back of the “bar” but it looked like you could maybe cut out the back panels to access the shelving inside that unit from the barkeeper side. Just a thought!
It's delightful and I'm envious of your beautiful cabinets! The place I live in has a Victorian cellar with a low ceiling, dirt floors, and damp stone walls, so it would only be fit to be turned into a spooky orc dungeon.
8:07 real flame or just a really freaking cool fake candle? Because having rewatched too many times and on half speed my brain says fake but I dont myself if it is a fake can anyone tell me what the type is called or how possible you make something like that? Anyway, setting aside the weird little fascination my brain latched onto, this video was a treat. Thank you so much for sharing everything with us.

I think the “odd” pitcher holds ice/embers in the center to keep the drink cool/warm. Great design even if it’s old.
That is correct.

The tavern is great! I would suggest painting the walls a tan or otherwise old aged colour, and wooden beams on the ceiling would be great!
