I prefer this to the Gucci. Similar but a lot more wearable. It’s smoother and does not have the strong medicinal smell (which I know some people love). Both great, but Dark Lord edges it. Price wise however I’m not sure. Also, on me it’s lasts forever unlike nearly all other fragrances by Kilian. Black Phantom for example lasts about 30 minutes on my skin.
Glad I grabbed GG Absolute! I want BK Musk Oud. Sampled at Saks. I can’t forget it.

Yeah your on the money!! I have & love my 5oz G.G.A I ORDER a double sample by Killian it had black phantom & Dark lord I was so excited for Dark lord cause my love for guilty absolute.. I sprayed both on each hand let's just say Dark lord was a lackluster it was cold on my skin Black Phantom lasted the whole day behind my hand when the Dark lord was gone after a few hours wife told me to buy black Phantom she was in love.. since that day I didnt buy neither, I've been eyeballing the discounters I've seen it for 200 for a 50ml. Cuz I probably got 20mls left of the 5oz. I bought years ago I wore the hell out of Gucci Guilty absolute!! I'm looking for the 5oz I had bought for $60usd but there hard to find can only find it on retailers sites for 110 , also for the 90ml there selling them for around 60 bucks so guilty still takes the cake but I guess I'll still pick up a 90ml before Dark lord at least it will match in size with my guilty absolute femme & guilty oud witch I love too. I gunna wear Gucci Guilty Absolute it's been a month or so!!! Thanks Marc!!!
I got a sample of Dark Lord when I bought Black Phantom. It's a very nice, very well rounded fragrance. It smells like Gucci Guilty Absolute, certainly, but classier, easier to pull of. Although, the base of the fragrance, about 3 to 4 hours in, has a bit more focus on vetiver and green nuances than Gucci. At least on my skin, of course. But, as Mark said, sometimes some compositions have to be rough, that's their character. Is Dark Lord worth it? If you like it, it then is worth it. Not to me, though. I prefer the roughness of Gucci. It gives it a certain edge over Dark Lord.

Totally would feel the same. GGA is just so raw and meant to be that way. Gucci did it better, just say it lol.
I have not tried Gucci. I have tried Dark Lord and (after wearing it through 5 samples I got at Nordstrom when it came out) I really liked it. It was my late night chilling fragrance. The problem for me was that guys liked it but women thought it was okay or just didn't like it. So, I never got a bottle, but I want one!
After sampling from luckyscent I thought it was ok. Ended up buying it from a discounter. I gotta say, the more I wear it, the more I like it. Pretty goddamn classy, actually. Hope you find the same result.
When you first smelled it it seemed like you were almost surprised that it smelled like Gucci Guilty...Or you did not want it to smell like Gucci Guilty....
I've got a 150 ml of GGA and few samples of BKDL. I've went through EXACTLY same impressions as Mark. By Kilian Dark Lord is softened, polished and cleaner version of Gucci's Guilty Absolute. An unnecessary and redundant relase, IMO of course.

Almost all Kilian fragrances are not worth it! Overpriced, underperforming..
You’ve never tried Dark Lord then obviously. This literally kills people the next city over if you wear more than 3 sprays.
