Cooking series - 1 (Kovakka fry/Ivy gourd fry)

  • Ingredients:
    Oil
    Mustard seed
    White urad dhal
    Curry leaves
    Red chilli
    Onion
    Salt
    Turmeric powder
    GG paste(Ginger Garlic paste)
    Ivy gourd
    Water
    Redchilli powder
    Garam masala
    Coriander leaves
    Procedure:
    Heat the pan, add some oil let it be hot then lower them on a low-medium flame add mustard seeds, White urad dhal, curry leaves and redchilli, saute it.
    Add chopped onions add salt and turmeric ang GG paste and saute it until raw smell of GG goes away and until onion becomes golden brown in colour.
    Add ivy gourd saute it until it mixes with everything add redchilli powder and garam masala saute it until the masala is coated well.
    Add some water and close the lid make sure it cooks really well then finally add some chopped coriander leaves to it. SERVE HOT!!
