The sound is horrible when you are sitting that close to the orchestra... sounds completely different than the gallery at the CSO. It's like a whole new experience, in a very bad way. I kind of feel bad because most people don't know much about how acoustics and sound engineering work. It's mind-blowing comparing this to what I heard in Chicago, as that was the first time I ever went to a live orchestra.
I think its not so much to do with where you are but more with what i recorded. This is recorded on a phone with the build in mic. So its not comparible with what is heard in the show youve been =) but in the front you feel all the trembles of the sound trough the ground =)
Nah the sound was bad everywhere. It was amplified through speakers with a bit of a delay and a lot of bass boost. Any other orchestral concert I went to there were no speakers, but maybe that’s just a thing in Ahoy
