The third Sunday of January is the Feast of the Holy Child, popularly known as the 𝘚𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘕𝘪𝘯̃𝘰. In Luzon, the festivities are grandest at the Tondo Church, the first parish church in the Philippines. Miguel Lopez de Legazpi dedicated the parish to the Most Holy Name of Jesus, embodied by the venerated image of the 𝘚𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘕𝘪𝘯̃𝘰. Aside from the popular 'Lakbayaw' (𝘭𝘢𝘬𝘣𝘢𝘺 𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘸) on the eve of the feast, the original miraculous image is brought out in a dawn procession on the day of the feast. Masses are held in succession for a total of 33 hours, starting on the eve of the feast with the last mass ending at midnight.
