Honestly, ive seen some "daily use" way rougher than that Some new tires, undercoat, more regular oil changes and youre good (as far as im concerned of course)
I wouldn't call this abusing honestly, He's not red lining it and he's not crashing it so this would be more of an engine cleaning rather than an engine destroying thing
It is true though, I’ve found driving stick forces you to be a whole lot more attentive and it definitely would help fellow young people not be such idiots on the road if most cars were manual.
@@initialyeet3951it’s true, I drove my friends auto and thought I was doing 10 over but looked down and saw I was doing just under excessive (enough to be impounded) meanwhile in my car I feel like I’m racing at 20 over

@toddthezondalover645 so what; this car without a cage, no rallying seat/harness straps, helmet etc, losing control and hitting a tree at 130+kms/hr would probably be fatal.
No, Mom the Imprezas are the one getting used and abused. You know, street racing and stuff. A legacy is like a normal everyday grocery getter, no need to worry.
I just bought my first Subaru, a 2022 WRX, about two months ago. I've only played around a bit in the snow and in a gravel lot, but you have really inspired me. Rally and dirt racing are my favorite kind of motorsport, and I really should just find some unused dirt lot somewhere and learn what the car can do... you are driving an old Legacy with more skill and precision than so many guys out there who mod their WRXs to death and barely know how to let it drift. Hats completely off, I'm envious of that road you're playing on!
clicked on "one last video" at 1:30 am... was not dissapointed, this was some of the best 6 minutes of entertainment i have ever consumed. legendary driving, and great job filming it
It's crazy how removing the fuse for the traction control from one of those can make them that fun When you're able to control the car this well, that is
i only drive my z with the traction off now after finding that vdc button. maybe i’ll take the fuse out one day to really turn it off but even with the button off it’s a major difference
@@sopretty43vr Yeah unfortunately in my Impreza it's not the case at all, it only deactivates it below 25 mph And the wheels do spin faster than 25 mph when I slide around in a snowy parking lot so it still activates
@@sopretty43vrcheck out some forums on it, but in my Xterra even with VSD off it still intrudes. I suspect Nissans are similar so pulling the ABS plug, or put switch on the ground wire in the abs harness is how you get true raw vehicle.
Man you know that road is properly properly graded, that’s gotta be the smoothest gravel road I’ve ever seen, that thing would be catching air from bumps in backwoods Kentucky
Brotha, you are driving faster than a lot of entry level rally drivers. Please get a cage at least. We don’t wanna see you die. One mistake and it’ll be catastrophic.
As much as I hate to use the word "underrated" in a UA-cam comment, the Legacy is quite possibly THE most underrated sport sedan of all time. I doubt most people even consider them a sport sedan because they are low on power without a turbo or 6 cyl engine, but they have upper tier handling and driving dynamics. Definitely considering picking another one up now that prices are what they are.
"2nd owner, never abused"

Nailed it

Not abuse if its designed for it

Driving like this in a 2000s Legacy with no roll cage... You've got some balls, dude! Sick stuff
Yeah, hard agree.

You would be surprised. If you hit the driver door directly, yes. Otherwise it's survival if you aren't frail.
I would
0:38 Takes a lot of balls to shift during a weight transfer slide. Jesus christ dude, you’re an absolute wheelman!
Exactly, I can only do it in sims. In a real car I'm passing on this kind of activity.
Its pretty easy when your used to it, been drifting for the last decade and I was at ease doing this my first year
i do this in my workute lol
Upshift is easier than Downshift 😅
.... thats how can force the weight transfer if it hasnt full initiated
As a subaru owner i love this, as a dirtbiker the idea of meeting you head on on a fsr terrifys me
Rip Subaru Legacy

there's nothing quite like the legacy a legacy legacied.
No, Mom the Imprezas are the one getting used and abused. You know, street racing and stuff. A legacy is like a normal everyday grocery getter, no need to worry.
Exactly, that is why my first car was not a BMW, but the Legacy '05 with the manual shift gear. It was awesome. Will never forget it.

Rally is in Subarus DNA!!!!
I used to run my mom’s old 05 Grand Cherokee through this rock quarry near my high school. This takes me back man, sweet.
