I was first introduced to the game when I was 9 in 2012, was my first ever computer game I played. I’d play everyday after school for as long as I could! You and jingles were some of the first UA-camrs I’ve ever watched! Crazy to see how different it looked back then compared to now
I played WOT around a few times when I was 11. Downloaded it after seeing one those interactive ads, back then internet in my country was very slow and we didn't have wifi coverage (1 Mpbs) near my home. Have to download it in sequence because I had to rely on a broadband connection with limited quota haha (sometimes my parents would be mad, because topping up the internet is pretty expensive)😂. First game that spent my money own, bought Churchill III without even thinking. I tried to play it again around 2019 after the significant graphical changes that they've made, first time I played again, I got confused on why my shot won't pen at certain parts of the enemy vehicle and they I watch QB's video and had to learn all the games mechanics to properly play the game.
I remember getting to wot in the most insane way We downloaded the game to my neighbors pc, and we played at the same time One was driving and the other one was shooting, and it wasnt even that bad because of how the game was played slowly back then
@@m.syamil_KR4PUoh yeah, I also started after seeing their awesome interactive ads lol... tho I was a little bit older, like 14 or 15... remember driving around like a madman in the T-18 having no clue wth am I supposed to do really xD crazy how time flies and the warm memories you get seeing vids like this one right here :D
I started playing WOT in 2012 as 13 year old and exploring the game by going up the tiers was such a fun. I remember seeing IS-3 for the first time in some game and it looked so futuristic with that flat turret that it blown my mind. It also took me few years before I reached my first tier X IS-4. I am missing the mystery in the game now as I know pretty much all about it.
Miss old school WoT. You had "All Chat" and we would take pokes at each other in fun. People weren't TOXIC like they are today. You had "teamwork", people not worried about their "Stats" and "ratings". Lastly, you had Team Damage which kept it more real and God help you if you turned into a "Smurf" 🤣 Rock on Tankers 🤘😎
"People weren't toxic"? Have you forgotten about the millions of times you would be called a cheater, hacker, or gold noob by the enemy because they didn't understand how the vision system worked?^^ Also the fact that you could still damage your own team mates caused quite a lot of toxic situations... Today the game itself often feels toxic though, which of course is worse.
@@OldWorldBlues86 Not to mention when some jagoff on your team would get pissed or just felt like trolling, they would "all chat" the other team and tell them where members of your team were sitting/hiding. Those people used to piss me off...
@@OldWorldBlues86 All people have faulty memory, they only remember what they want to remember. Old WoT might be more interesting in some aspects back then, but "less toxic players" is definitely not one of them.
I remember on el halluf how akward it was north east for heavies as everyone would try and hug the ridge from south spawn or get farmed by arty. Another memory is the magic forest, I hope you find a replay of that it was hilarious.
As you mentioned, old arties used to be so fun. I remember being in 1 v 3s and actually feeling like there was a chance. No more taking out near full health tanks with a single shot :(
Remember 2012 very well started playing this game in July and Winter was time when I played hundred of games. First tech tree was German heavies but not Tiger but Tiger P from which you could go to 3 other tanks so I played that tank during winter to grind all that tanks. No doubles, no repair kits, no gold rounds, was very funny to watch half of crew dead at the end of battle and half of components broken. Credits were hard to earn for F2P with no Premium tanks, my first premium was T25 Pilot from one of the first marathons. Also it was different when you were able to comunicate with enemy team, at the end of battles enemy team was telling you where is arty located.
i remember i once got a MM where it was full tier 5 tanks, except our team had for some reason chinese IS2, while the enemy team didnt have anything, only tier 5s, crazy times:D
I don't miss the old WoT in terms of graphic, game mechanics and other stuff but gosh, there was this vibe and those much longer battles with close competition. I remembered how shocking were results 15:0, youtubers were showing such a battle on their channels, because of how abnormal it was.
I missed out on the M48 in its glory days, but I got to experience the T110E5 at its peak, as well as the old KV-1S with the 122mm (basically a better IS, but at tier 6), and the T49 (now T67) pre all the nerfs. I also suffered with the Panzer V/IV when it was a terrible piece of garbage tier 6 tank, which I got for pre-ordering the game - makes me feel less dirty for playing it in its current form. My most played tank back in the day, and still one of my most played tanks, was the Tiger II. Played through it to get to the VK 4502B, which I then unlocked and realized I hated (maybe because I hadn't heard of sidescraping?), sold, went back to the Tiger II and played it a bunch with accelerated crew training on. Then the E75 and E100 were added to the game, and I had to keep grinding the Tiger II to get the E75 - which became my next big love. Going up against tier 9 IS-4's was challenging, but as I got better at the game my E75 and I usually came out on top even then.
Have you noticed that back then arty wasn’t so hated? I remember playing in the way to get enemy shot by our arty, we’re waiting them to do shelling and finish all that was left. We were playing as team to win and arty was very helpful to do it more conveniently. Now is the opposite I think, in randoms most people is playing for own score, many times doing most damage is more important than win the game. Anyway, read ingame chat in these featured games here, you’ll see even “nice shot arty!”. Nowadays you’ll probably see rather something about “fxxing arty”. 😅
@@number1Joshie i think that stun mechanics made arty so hated. And remember then it was a different game - tank indicators disappeared from mini map, tanks were somewhat weaker (destroying T8 with ELC wasn't so difficult). All I wanted to say that team play then was easier and more natural, I haven't seen such thing in a long long time.
The most vivid memory I have of the wacky render distance was trying to manoeuvre a TD around Malinovka to basically get to cross map heavies from the spawn. It felt incredibly janky but it was an extra level of skill trying to get those 700m+ shots. Still remember the first patch after they changed the render shape and feeling strangely safe on top of the hill.
This is when the game began to slide into being considerably worse IMHO. As QB says here, prior to gold ammo being available for credits, I would see a gold shell MAYBE once every 5-6 games. If that. People just didn't use them. That's the last time that armor really mattered in this game. And although lots of other things are MUCH better now, that gold ammo readily available turned this game in a lass enjoyable direction.
Ahh this is much better even tho the match maker is horrible still I miss the Tech tree tanks vs Tech tree tanks era no premium tanks like BZ-176, Skoda T-56, Vipera Bourrasque, Progetto etc feels so peaceful 😊
I know the match making spread was waccko in those days, but these days I really dont enjoy knowing that when I match up in a heavy or a light aim going to be matched up against another heavy or light. I want some asymmetric tank face offs
Its so weird looking back at how far this game has come. I first started playing in august 2011, and the very next day 0.6.7 came out, which i believe added the E 100 to the game. Crazy stuff
I remember finding a QB video and trying to play on my dell laptop without any graphics card. It was not great. When they made the Xbox360 version, I jumped on that train as quick as I could and have been playing for 9 years. But I have always enjoyed the QB content. I have tried to play on pc bow that I have a decent rig but the Xbox version is what I’ve stuck with.
And do you remember? Pepperidge farms remembers, being a poor little t5 light facing t9’s and tens and the 48A5 is still baller, I love mine, it’s a great all around tank these days, and can fill a decent scout role, awesome Dps, good alpha for how fast it fires, and the armor and health of it is great. Got one set up with bounty vents, turbo and rammer, another with vents, rammer and durability for close in city fights. And with the equipment and crew skills, field mods. Half the time in it, I’m switching beyond scouting to mainline fighting, and even acting like T 10 pocket heavy, most of my matches I end up having to be a “heavy” and hold the main push/fight it out with them/spot too while I am. And the crazy part is I can hold against a couple heavies, for awhile, unless they bum rush me and trade shots with them, out dpm them and tear them apart, with a little support, either killing them, or dropping them to one shots by them time they can kill me, haha. Still funny no one suspects the pocket heavy, medium that can spot really well and crazy dpm, you just can’t hide worth a damn in it. I also miss all chat, was great
Video suggestion: nerfed/buffed before it was released Inspired by the completely broken Swedish TDs in the initial 9.17 test server before WG nerfed them.
I know my first computer (a Laptop) couldn't render the ground textures in this game, so I basically had to play with a see-through ground all the time and therefore couldn't see dips and rises in the terrain, so I got stuck all the time due to the old physics engine xD. I was so happy when I finally got my first tower PC that could run this game to at least a playable degree on medium settings.
ah the good ol days, meeting E-100s in a chaffee 😅 also, i wanna see a "Hetzer gonna hetz" video, and if possible, that little american terror - the T18 with the pack howitzer 🤣
It's been a while since you have done a IS-7 review and now that you are talking about the "old'' game It's a great occasion, of course if you'd consider it.
oh man, hearing the clanking of tracks and the sound you get after you reload... yes, the nostalgia I am getting is real the laid back nature, no sweating just enjoying the game for what its worth is what I am missing in wot these days... sure, getting big dmg games and monster amount of kill games still feels right, but that cant beat the cozy feel and good vibes I got from playing old school wot back in the day... I think they should bring back old school wot or wot classic or whatever name it would have back to us and permanently so
If you have replay of the T18 td, I hope you would make video of it. It was one of the most outrageous tanks ever in wot. I was so bad at the game back then but even I was able to have good games with that monster.
I prefer the old arty that was able to one/two-shot my tank rather that doing the "Death by a thousand cuts and turn your crew into a potato level with each one" version.
The physics test server was crazy with the T-50-2 dashing around trying to climb every mountain. I think it was even possible to jump over the bridge gap on the green colored map with the valley and the village!
I really would like to see you feature console gameplay for 💩 and giggles

One of my earliest memories from 2013, when I first started the game, was meeting for the first time the KV- and IS- tanks on Widepark. Driving my tiny tier iv, I remember strolling past those behemoths on the battlefield, and, being 12 years of age, I remember for some reason thinking the KV- tanks were radioactive. It makes no sense. But it did at the time. I had no idea how tanks worked, how the game worked, but I knew these KV- behemoths were dangerous, and I was scared of them, even of pronouncing their name. It feels like a distant vivid dream.
I remember the first tank that I grinded to was the Object 704. I just wanted the tank with the biggest gun that has the biggest alpha damage and the troll cannon it is lol. The rest of the tanks in that line are fun too. The SU-85 with the 107mm(one of the counters to the old KV), SU-100 with the 100mm, SU-152 with its derp gun or the insane rof of the 122mm and ISU-152 with the old troll cannon slapping other tanks around like no tomorrow 😂
as a returning player from 2012 to now . one major thing is that back then the penatration indicator did not take into account the angle of the armor you were aiming at just the thickness. so back then you actually had to know if your tank can pen the enemy tank . now a days when im hull down i see a lot of enemies just scanning my tank looking for the indicator to turn green before they shoot . (for example when im in the vipera). i think the game took more skill back in the day when the indicator did not do that.
I started playing in Jan 2013. Only had a crappy old compact desktop with a low powered laptop graphics card. Had all the settings on low or off and I averaged 12fps, dropping to about 7fps in sniper mode. Sometimes it was like watching a flick book. Still loved the game so much it inspired me to build my own gaming PC.
Honestly, I'd love to see old-skool arty come back. Yes, I'm filthy, I admit. But there was something oddly satisfying when hitting a group of bunched up heavies, and then get 1000DMG with one shot.
Damn, most damage I ever did in the game was in a T30 when it was still a Tier 10 heavy tank, I did just over 6k and had 7 kills and thought it was amazing because 4 of those kills were at the end of the game in a 1v4 after dealing with people crying about me "camping" like a TD for the first ~7 or 8 minutes of the game and I'm why we were going to lose...I was like, this tank has no armor, I have to play it like a TD to do any good with it....then they made a TD like 3 months later.
God, this is really when I loved this game so much. Back grinding the OG soviet TD line, doing horrible things to low-tier tanks in the SU-85 when it had a 107mm gun was probably the most fun I ever had. It was like playing an ISU-152 with the BL-10, but you're facing Tier 3 tanks. Seals clubbing seals...
still remember playing with my dad in 2011 when i was too young to have my own computer, this is really nice good nostalgic trip to good old times. thx QB!
QB i became your fan like almost 1.5yrs ago. You deff should make more vids of the old WOT Cos it shows us how it used to be and how you used to be haha. How about starting new content "Uncle QuakyBaby reviews Old videos of himself"
Old WoT videos are nice to see, smoke from the gun barrel. Why we cant have that now? Or how about muzzle flashes. Would make spotting more interesting.
Stop me if im wrong but : accuracy was a bit more rng related back then. They kinda buffed/nerfed it later buy changing how behave this mécanique buy making shot go more often around the center of the réticule but reduced the chance it go right in the center as well
God I miss when arty was something to actually be scared of compared to something that's just a slight hassle, those last second arty shotgun kills used to be incredible
I picked up WoT in 2012; it was a fun time. I always remember the Maus with tier 1 trolls. But great video, the M48A5 (A1) is my favorite tank in the game, so it's good seeing it bringing back some old memories. Currently, my M48A5 rocks one of my QB commanders to hopefully bring it some more luck.
When I arrived to this game back in 2013 there were so many crazy things going on it was nuts. The T18 was absolutely destroying the tier 2 matches, arty was devastating, the WT Auf E-100 was at its peak with 2200 HP, 6 clip....the FV 215B 183 had that nasty 270 HESH...yeah....I can't believe I survived that era hahahaha. The 750 alpha tds had 850 too but this was lowered. Object 268 had 450 HEAT pen, yes, more than Jagpizda. You could play with a tier 5 or 6 and meet a Maus hahahahaha. People complaining about +2MM now? You should have been here back in 2012-2013 fellas xD
I wish we could see replays of old maps that are no longer in the game (old Province), Northwest, Hidden Village, Sacred Valley, Windstorm, Severogorsk, Port, South Coast, Stalingrad, Komarin, Swamp, Kharkov, Mittengard, Dragon Ridge.
in my opinion WG making available gold ammo for credits was the biggest mistake. as You shou QB if u want fight HT in MT u have to find a way to zhoot its back or side. Not like now when u press 2 and fight face 2 face with HT which in my opinion is ridiculus!!
Been playing WoT for 11 years now, one of those epic games I stuck around for so long. Damn, I love the nostalgia these videos bring. I started playing in December 2012, on my Acer laptop with a GT630M. Back then I could play in high settings no problem. When I got to tier 7 Tiger P in the game, I started to look around UA-cam to get better in the game. That's when I found QB and Jingles!! Still watching your videos to this day QB, they help me when I'm down sometimes, watching your videos makes me feel like talking to a friend I've known for 11 years. It was very fun back then following you guys' adventures in game with Ikzor, streams and so on. I remember peppidy had an account too and you'd carry her in games 😂
Tanks that I'd wanna see before they were nerfed. The old Caernarvorn with the 20pdr, the T110E4 with 850 alpha, the T34, and definitely the T92 HMC just to put some perspective on how badly arty could mess something up.
SEE! Even QB said that he would rather have arty do dmg than stun. I have been saying that for years. And I hope QB keeps uploading these old replays. They are fun to watch :) I know +5/-5 MM would not work nowadays and I would prefer if it was even +1/-1 but back in early wot it was so funny to flank tier 8-9 heavy with ur tier 5 medium and get massive xp for couple of shots. Also people were very clueless so flanking was easy.
Started my WoT journey in patch 0.7.4 & after 7 years & 34K+ battles I finally gave up on the playerbase. I doubt I'll ever play another Wargaming title but continue to enjoy the content produced by QB & the ultra rare WoT vid from Jingles who holds 100% of the blame for gettting me started in the game.
Gold ammo for credits was 8.1. The game was... different back then. Those were good old times with tier 8s not being premium vehicles only, Maus having 250 armour on its turret, so you could actually penetrate the cheeks without gold, but the Brits were crying in the corner with 210 HESH pen. There were no autoloaders but French, American autoloaders were introduced in 8.2, if I'm not mistaken... The game looked and sounded horrible, but gameplay wise, it was at its peak imho.
I still maintain gold ammo for silver is the worst thing to have happened to the game. Now everything has to be balanced against that. If you have them, QB, I'd love to see replays of the original T82, tier 3 Tank Destroyer, with the 105mm howitzer and the SU-85 with the ZiS 107.
M48A1 was my first tier 10, not because I knew how good it was, not because my clan wanted me to get it. No, it was because it was the lowest XP for a tier 10. Back when it was only 160K (IIRC) but it came stock with the 90mm. I remember being so excited when i got it, then being so disappointed when i couldnt get the gun. Eventually for christmas I got a gift card for WOT gold (karma koins in canada) and free XPed the gun. Oh how I miss those days. Playing for hours with my cousin, my brother, and some of the coolest people ive ever met in my old clan. Im still good friends with one, known him for nearly 10 years and we hung out in person for the first time last year. WOT will always be a special game to me, love it to death, no matter how much its changed.
Hey QB! Ik you won’t probably read this comment because you usually don’t have time, but I think people (such as me) have some questions to ask/would like to know about you. I have been watching you since I was 7 years old and I remember you had lots of Q&A videos. They were interesting, changing the main topic of your channel ones in a while. Thanks for your context and keep it up man!
i got to know world of tanks in 2012. While i was updating my graphics card drive a propaganda showed up in my screen. I miss the gun sounds. Now a day i think guns below 105 mm have a terrible sound when you are in sniper view. My first TD tier X was the obj 268 because of 450 heat pen and 850 alpha damage. That'd be a good thank to feature here i think.
The Days where an T-95 / E-100 / Maus / Is-6 was a threat to everyone on his Tier :) Don´t forget first Type 59´s was unstopable in good Players Hands :) After 2015 the Game got to an dead end for me
I remember I used to grind credits on my vk 3601 and kv1 because I wanted my f2p game to actually be free. Then they introduced the type 59 and 2 came up to me while I was in my tiger 2 and proceeded to maul me. I was like "...I'm going to buy this tank now." And in pretty much every match there would be 3 type 59s and the 59s would just wolf pack the entire enemy team. It was magical
I play WoT since the start of closed beta test (2010) and honestly - the game was much more fun than it is now. Even with broken balance, MM issues and so on I would still prefer old WoT like in the video than the current state. Now the powercreep, more and more OP premium tanks and 0:15 fast battles make the game unpleasant for me so I play just a few battles. I truly miss old (pre-2017 I think) WoT. I would love to see old replays to have a nice nostalgia :)
I miss my IS-8 and KV-1S from back in the day. I also miss derp guns and workable HE. Some of the reasons I haven't played in years, but still watch your channel!
Oh God yes the matchmaking reminds me of something very silly. The pz38na used to be matched up with tier 8s as a light tank. However it wasn't fast or could do any spotting like the luchs or amx elc. So basically I was just staring at tier 8s in disbelief, wondering what I could do 😂
Started playing WOT in 2013 when I was in high school. The graphics had improved a little bit by then, but still... the nostalgia is real. Man, I miss those games sometimes. The all-chat used to be hilarious with the amount of shade thrown around. Also, the player-base felt more equal in terms of skill. Everyone was on a level playing field... you were either really bad or really good, and it was easy to tell. You didn't have the insane bond equipment and things like that.
I started playing a little before Type 59 was released. That thing was the terror of the battlefield. The MM was ridiculous because the T59 would be put in with tanks like the PZ4. If only one team had the T59, you know that would be the winning team. Also max tier was 9 and the M46 Patton was the king. Arty could one shot any tank same tier and lower. 2 of the best tanks in the game were the Chaffee and the Leopard(light).
I miss killing 2 tanks with 1 shot from my T92 arty. I really miss chatting with the enemy team. When I was an arty, I'd tell the other team I needed 4 kills for a mission & ask if they could help me. They'd laugh. Then during the game, when I would kill 1 (or more) I'd use the chat to say "Thanks". It would piss them off & many times they would throw the game just to try to shoot my arty. I also miss the FV304, before it was nerfed to death.
I remember it was normal for arty to suicide, myself included. “They’ll never take me alive!” Glad that’s reportable now. Also the physics patch when all the light tanks started flipping from turning to fast, lol!
Man i lowkey miss the old arty :D I know its an unpopular opinion. And i never played them. But it was satisfying to watch when the ConqGC slapped someone for like 2k dg or flat out blew up an e100 or maus :D
I started in 2013, I kind of miss the fact that so much grinding was necessary. Yes, it was a pain, but the game progress was slow enough so you could actually get used to play or fight against certain tanks. I also miss the simpler map, marker and HUD, I know that some players had mods before they were implemented in the games but now there is so much information on the screen for everyone, it makes it frustrating when people don't use it, before it was fun guessing and could not blame player for not knowing. Nowadays, you can grind through a complete tier without even being able to train a crew to 100%. And the fact that new players jump to tier 6 after just a few games ruins the mm so much, they don't have a clue how to play and end up in tier 7-8 games immediately. They should let new players grind through the low tier so they can learn how to play before letting them in the mid-high tier. Keep these nostalgia videos coming they're awesome!
"Look at that, Tier 5 light tank up against Tier 8s, MatchMaking was so tough back then" Meanwhile T-50-2 finishes on 2 kills and none of the 13-90s get anything.
i started playing back in 2014, in April i believe. man, i remember going for the Deathstar and the WT Auf E100, but since both got removed from the Tech Tree before i could get them, i never had a chance to play them...
Something I truly miss is the terrain of the old version of the game, and to an extent to old physics. I believe it was the second implementation of physics where thanks could slide down mountains and had a 70 degree limit on how far they would flip, much better than the physics they use today which you can flip on a pebble if you hit it at the wrong angle. Back to the terrain, you could slide down most surfaces or make "shortcut climbs" to reach key positions on maps faster (Maps like Cliff for example, with a fast light/medium both teams could go straight up the center without taking damage from the "donut" or driving to the cliff side of the map). Nowadays rocks prevent sliding down as you risk taking so much damage to escape situations as your tank may flip while sliding down. Definitely one of the more fun aspects of the older version of WoT.
Back in the day the T34 wasn't a premium tank. It was a normal tech tree tank. And I think ASEET had cooperation at least on an alliance level with FILO because that clan name is so familiar. I'm still in the ASEET clan. :)
I think I started playing WoT in 2012 or 2013. Despite having many flaws, the game was somehow better than it is now. When Wargaming had the retro version a few years ago for a while, I just loved it. I've hated some of the changes made over the years. Gave up on WoT a few years ago. Still watch some of the WoT videos.
Back in the day , where everybody complaining about the arty ,type 59 and the matchmaker , but still didn’t felt so much mich about pay to win . Happy that i don’t play this game anymore but fun to watch quickybaby‘s videos
Wot seemed different in those days, premiums weren't that common, it was fun, dispite now the game has much improvements. Would like to see old school gameplay on removed old maps as well, that would be fun, as well as HE gameplay with kv2 or m5sherman for example
Please do the 4202 before it was nerfed" I loved that thing as a tier 10 with the HESH rounds and a bit of armor. Of course the T34 American Heavy at tier 9 was nice also back then.
I was first introduced to the game when I was 9 in 2012, was my first ever computer game I played. I’d play everyday after school for as long as I could! You and jingles were some of the first UA-camrs I’ve ever watched! Crazy to see how different it looked back then compared to now

Yes. Now is even worst. 😂
Keep these nostalgia videos coming. They make me remember the good times when I truly enjoyed the game.
The odd "clanky" sound of the tanks as they moved back then, and when the guns fired - it brings back a lot of memories of how the game used to be.
and no premium tanks in battles

I would really love to see the story of Type 59 and all the iterations of reworks it went through.
I'd love to see a battle or two on the original Dragon Ridge map 😁
We need a good old KV-1S gameplay
He has a video about the old KV-1S. You can find it if you search
I loved the old soviet line back in the day. The IS-3 was just a beast and so flexible. I did not love how hard arty hit, however! Good stuff Quacky.

Magic forest was EPIC! 😂
I want the old WoT back in a separate game!
They brought it back once or twice as an event
Please upload more old WoT.
I really miss that game
As you mentioned, old arties used to be so fun. I remember being in 1 v 3s and actually feeling like there was a chance. No more taking out near full health tanks with a single shot :(
whats your ingame name?
Fun fact: The training/Skill Qualification Test standard for loading on the M68 equipped tanks was 5 seconds.
Hahahah exactlyyy game was so much more fun and hardcore back then
I remember playing hetzer against tier 10 xd. Miss the old times
i remember i once got a MM where it was full tier 5 tanks, except our team had for some reason chinese IS2, while the enemy team didnt have anything, only tier 5s, crazy times:D
I don't miss the old WoT in terms of graphic, game mechanics and other stuff but gosh, there was this vibe and those much longer battles with close competition. I remembered how shocking were results 15:0, youtubers were showing such a battle on their channels, because of how abnormal it was.
I just miss the times when people played WoT for fun, now everyone seems like a pro, and everyone is sweating.
Arty was still hated back then, if not more so because of how overtuned the class was
@@number1Joshie i think that stun mechanics made arty so hated.
Back when TDs were best played like bishops in chess XD
This is when the game began to slide into being considerably worse IMHO. As QB says here, prior to gold ammo being available for credits, I would see a gold shell MAYBE once every 5-6 games. If that. People just didn't use them. That's the last time that armor really mattered in this game. And although lots of other things are MUCH better now, that gold ammo readily available turned this game in a lass enjoyable direction.
matchmaker back then took into consideration how strong a vehicle was and balanced accordingly, but platoons sometimes threw a wrench in that
Ahh this is much better even tho the match maker is horrible still I miss the Tech tree tanks vs Tech tree tanks era no premium tanks like BZ-176, Skoda T-56, Vipera Bourrasque, Progetto etc feels so peaceful 😊
I know the match making spread was waccko in those days, but these days I really dont enjoy knowing that when I match up in a heavy or a light aim going to be matched up against another heavy or light. I want some asymmetric tank face offs
I remember dying in my T-28 for ~200 games straight getting a shot or two of damage before finally unlocking the KV-1
I also miss all chat, was great
Video suggestion: nerfed/buffed before it was released
Inspired by the completely broken Swedish TDs in the initial 9.17 test server before WG nerfed them.
I know my first computer (a Laptop) couldn't render the ground textures in this game, so I basically had to play with a see-through ground all the time and therefore couldn't see dips and rises in the terrain, so I got stuck all the time due to the old physics engine xD. I was so happy when I finally got my first tower PC that could run this game to at least a playable degree on medium settings.
ah the good ol days, meeting E-100s in a chaffee 😅
also, i wanna see a "Hetzer gonna hetz" video,
and if possible, that little american terror - the T18 with the pack howitzer 🤣
This video just made me remember of QBs old spotted notification saying, “it’s a trap” how have I completely forgotten about that up until now?
Love the old school vids, reminds me of when I first started playing
It's been a while since you have done a IS-7 review and now that you are talking about the "old'' game It's a great occasion, of course if you'd consider it.
oh man, hearing the clanking of tracks and the sound you get after you reload... yes, the nostalgia I am getting is real
the laid back nature, no sweating just enjoying the game for what its worth is what I am missing in wot these days... sure, getting big dmg games and monster amount of kill games still feels right, but that cant beat the cozy feel and good vibes I got from playing old school wot back in the day... I think they should bring back old school wot or wot classic or whatever name it would have back to us and permanently so
If you have replay of the T18 td, I hope you would make video of it. It was one of the most outrageous tanks ever in wot. I was so bad at the game back then but even I was able to have good games with that monster.
I miss the times you could fail platoon and play your kv2 against tier 10s and get insane levels of experience.
Man I miss the old T30 and T34. I started the last month of Beta in 2011 and those were my first T9/10 tanks.
I prefer the old arty that was able to one/two-shot my tank rather that doing the "Death by a thousand cuts and turn your crew into a potato level with each one" version.
Wow I saw my childhood and old wot this is super nostalgic 🥹
I remember back in the day also you could damage your teammates what patch did they take that out quickiebabs
Man the match maker was a bit brutal back then tier 5 lights gets tier 10 I still remember those days
Be great to see the classic British tier 10 medium tank! FV4202 at tier 10 was always odd
First
i would like you to go over all the previous updates in order of what happened in them. Just a quick overview.
as a returning player from 2012 to now . one major thing is that back then the penatration indicator did not take into account the angle of the armor you were aiming at just the thickness. so back then you actually had to know if your tank can pen the enemy tank . now a days when im hull down i see a lot of enemies just scanning my tank looking for the indicator to turn green before they shoot .
3:33 I like this miss shot. That dust feels much real.
Man hearing those old engine sounds is nostalgic
Honestly, I'd love to see old-skool arty come back. Yes, I'm filthy, I admit. But there was something oddly satisfying when hitting a group of bunched up heavies, and then get 1000DMG with one shot.
it's the old QB intro and outro that do it for me!
You deff should make more vids of the old WOT
Cos it shows us how it used to be and how you used to be haha.
How about starting new content
"Uncle QuakyBaby reviews Old videos of himself"
It's depressing remembering how good the game used to be back in the day :(
Gold ammo for credits was 8.1.
"Look at that, Tier 5 light tank up against Tier 8s, MatchMaking was so tough back then"
Meanwhile T-50-2 finishes on 2 kills and none of the 13-90s get anything.
i started playing back in 2014, in April i believe. man, i remember going for the Deathstar and the WT Auf E100, but since both got removed from the Tech Tree before i could get them, i never had a chance to play them...
Happy that i don’t play this game anymore but fun to watch quickybaby‘s videos
arty was so strong back then. i managed to one shot a T95 for 1700hp and a VK4502B for 1970hp with a tier 6 S-51🤭
