To say that the Vatican Museums are impressive is an understatement. I don't think there is another man-made tourist object in the world that would cause such delight. I also have personal memories associated with the tour of Rome and the Vatican. Because, unfortunately, due to technical problems with the phone, most of the photos and videos taken there are irretrievably lost. Thank you, Alice, for another opportunity to meet beauty. And this is what causes Stendhal's syndrome.
In full agreement with the comments below. Millions of postings on youtube, many quite good. This is outstanding. You maneuvered through those huge crowds most adroitly to provide us with a first class view of the vatican. The pace and choice of where to linger and where to move on was to my mind flawless. Visited the Vatican in June 2022. Magnificent view from the inside top of the dome. As a history professor, every visit to the Vatican has been a mental and fantastic mental experience. From the floor it is a BIG building but when up in the dome it is an AWESOME experience. The people down below look like they are part of an ant colony. The view of Rome from the very top of the dome will stay with me forever.

I was there last year with my wife. Magical place!❤ every night around 9pm we sat down under obelisk in st peter's square and look at basilica for hours… such a peaceful feeling ❤️
@@WalkingAlice I was in St. Peter's Basilica, winter of 1978 & I could walk right up to the Pieta sculpture & was almost close enough to it to touch it. I suppose they had no choice but to protect it considering what happened. It was surrounded by older women all dressed in black clutching their rosary beads & crying.

20 years ago I visited Rome and the Basilica anD Vatican Museums. I remember when I entered the Basilica, I was completely taken aback by it's sheer size, beauty and the feeling of it being a completely sacred place. It took me and my friend the whole day inside to see it all. I remember going back on my last day to see the Basilica one more time and was lucky enough to The late Pope John Paul enter with his officials to bless the coffin of nun that was laying near the altar. on the floor surrounded by other nuns. The whole whole combined experience of the Basilica, Vatican city and Rome is something I have never forgot, and I will remember always. Your video was superb and much welcomed - Thank You.

I’ve been to St Peter’s cathedral and the Sistine Chapel but I saw more and learned more from your video than actually being there. It was extremely crowded and I was worried about losing my tour group. 😂 I’m planning on going back again.

I don't use gimbals because of lack of light. It is used for stabilization.🤗
Natural light is sufficient in the Vatican and the use of additional light sources is prohibited😊
